Believing that James is cheating on her, scheming Emma tries to trap him into a confession and seethes when she later sees him talking to Chas again. Attention seeking Emma fakes a funny turn and, worried for her condition, James heads to the GP surgery to talk things through with Dr Bailey. But what will he find?
Whatever transpires, Emma’s lies about her alleged illness are soon exposed and Finn, Ross and Pete all turn their backs on her.
As Emma leaves under a cloud, she notices a distressed Chas and her nursing instincts kick in, prompting her to come to her enemy’s aid. Helping Chas to a mental health clinic, Emma is the picture of kindness – but could she secretly be plotting revenge?
Later, Charity is stunned to find the Woolpack is totally trashed and Chas stops her calling the police, accepting that the PTSD is back and she is responsible for the chaos. Panicking, she meets up with Emma and insists that she needs to go to hospital.

No, she lashes out at Chas by tricking her into thinking her PTSD is back by trashing the pub. She is manipulative so she will probably just win the brothers around.Originally Posted by rossfan

So is this really the big story for the Bartons, Emma tells a lie then everyone disowns her? Hardly seems like a thrilling watch.

Pete will discover Emma’s lie – and will then lie himself!
Anthony Quinlan confirmed to us that Pete would soon discover the lies his mum was telling about having Motor Neurone Disease and his reaction may well surprise viewers. Teasing that Pete may have a few lies to tell of his own, there is a complex web being weaved among the Bartons.

Not sure what this could be about - in the spoilers, it sounds like Ross and co find out Emma hs been lying so what lie could Pete being lying about? Debbie?

I don't think it will be about Debbie. I think Pete will change and become a lot more sinister. He might start acting how Ross used to act.

Possible but Ian has said he wants people to start getting on more and with Ross/Pete now with a truce I don't see what and why Pete would do this.
