Debbie left on New Years Day 2016 after learning Ross shot Robert and Andy was involved. Charlie said she would take time off but I don't think a definite period was confirmed

This just doesnt sound believable enough for me, Debbie left to get away from him. Would such a drastic change of heart happen in a couple of episodes?
