Monday

Kathy and Sharon both try their best to support Phil, but he seems determined to push everyone away. It's only when Shirley opens up to Phil about her own past losses that he seems to be left with food for thought.

When Phil does all he can to support his mum, they receive a surprise visitor as Grant finally returns...

Meanwhile, the day has come for Ian to sign the CostMart deal, but it's bad timing as a newspaper article has been published which slams his decision. Peggy confronts Ian and gives him a reality check, and it's not long before he realises that all is not well with Peggy.

Ian decides to ask Phil what's going on, forcing him to admit the truth. When Ian's thoughts turn back to business, he desperately tries to explain his reasons for selling up - but can anyone change his mind?

Elsewhere, Peggy also talks to Stacey but doesn't tell her that she is unwell. When Peggy encourages her to live her life and enjoy it, Stacey is touched to see that she's forgiven for everything that happened with Archie.

Peggy Mitchell's final EastEnders episode

Tension builds between the Mitchell brothers following Grant's return to Walford, but can they put their differences aside for Peggy's sake?

Grant also struggles to come to terms with the news that Peggy is dying and seems reluctant to accept her decision to give up fighting. He soon turns to an old flame for support, but will the lady in question be able to resist temptation?

Thursday

The Mitchell family mourn the sad loss of Peggy. As word of her death travels around the Square, many of the local residents are stunned by the news.

It's Sharon who steps up to support the Mitchell family, but how will Phil cope with losing his mum? Can the Mitchells stay united during this difficult time?

Meanwhile, Bobby overhears Jane and Sharon talking and learns some upsetting news. Annoyed by what he hears, Bobby takes matters into his own hands as he takes his anger out on Jane's car.

Elsewhere, Stacey is rocked by news of Peggy's death, causing her to have doubts about her wedding.


Friday



Stacey and Martin's wedding day has arrived. Now feeling more positive about things despite her doubts yesterday, Stacey tells Martin that she wants to go ahead with the ceremony after all.


The good news is that Stacey and Martin's wedding does go ahead – but will it really be the wedding day of their dreams?


Meanwhile, life for the Beale family takes a sinister turn once again when Bobby loses his temper. As a result, there are devastating consequences which will change the Beale family forever.


Elsewhere, Sharon tries her best to help Phil after Peggy's death, but will he accept her support?


Also today, Bex and Shakil grow closer.


Finally, Kyle makes a discovery.

Grant Mitchell was never going to return to EastEnders quietly - and here's the dramatic pictures to prove it.

The iconic hardman will come to blows with his brother Phil when he arrives back on Albert Square next week, sparking a showdown that fans won't want to miss.

Grant (Ross Kemp) is heading back to Walford after his ex-wife Sharon recently left a voicemail on his phone, letting him know that his family desperately needed him.

Viewers will see Grant struggle to cope with the news that Peggy has cancer and nothing more can be done to help her, but it looks like Phil (Steve McFadden) will be the one to bear the brunt of his frustrations.

Show bosses are keeping tight-lipped on the exact reasons for their row, except to say that it's sparked by old resentments and unfinished business.

EastEnders fans should brace themselves for more raw emotion this Thursday when news of Peggy's passing quickly spreads around the Square, leaving many of the residents stunned.

With the Mitchell family changed forever, Sharon will be seen doing her best to comfort a distraught and devastated Phil - a mere day after getting close with his brother Grant!
