Well it would be boring and weird if they were suddenly nice to eachother all the time, its best they just act civil for a while and still wind eachother up. Hopefully in time they will get a bit closer.

Coming up on Emmerdale, Lawrence White returns to his ruthless ways - and this time Ronnie Hale is in the firing line.

Lawrence loses his patience when Ronnie starts to hang around the village again, concerned about the secrets and trouble that his presence will inevitably stir up.

Ronnie, played by former Brookside actor John McArdle, first appeared in the village last month when Lawrence's daughter Chrissie became suspicious that he could be her biological father.

Already irked by Ronnie repeated visits, the final straw for Lawrence comes when Rakesh Kotecha decides to offer Ronnie a major job overseeing the Mill conversion.

Deciding that drastic action is needed to make his point, Lawrence forces Sam Dingle (James Hooton) to threaten Ronnie with a shotgun and make it clear that it's a 'message' from him.

Sam carries out Lawrence's dark orders, as he's already fighting to save his job after getting in trouble for crashing one of Home Farm's quad bikes.

Ronnie is shaken to be confronted by Sam, but also spots that Sam is clearly in turmoil over what he's being asked to do. Can Ronnie convince Sam to put the gun down? And how will he feel about Lawrence trying to threaten him?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, May 24 and Wednesday, May 25 at 7pm on ITV.
