If Daniel is leaving with Imogen then maybe it is something to do with his real life engagement. He (the actor) may just need to take some time off from the show and will be back without Imogen?

The way I read the latest spoilers ( on here ), he proposes because she wants the job but doesn't want to leave him behind. It also says he leaves with her for a new start on 26 April I think. I think he could go without marrying her though surely?

It says also that Daniel's sister, Madison visits him to check up on him and determine if he is rushing into marriage too quickly. It might be that his sister make them see things differently. And Daniel goes with Imogen without them getting married. And soon he is back for whatever reason.

Did you see the promo video saying there was "A heartwarming wedding" to come? Footage of them both exchanging rings too.
