The thought of Terese and Matt did actually cross my mind! Just because it was obvious where Lauren and Brad were headed so I was purely looking at it from a "revenge" point of view if I'm gonna be honest!
I just don't think Lauren and Brad work, but if people like them together then obviously that's ok! haha
I hope Terese does find someone else, just not Paul!

I'm with you about Lauren and Brad. There were many more anti than pro Lauren and Brad posts here at SoapBoards when they first got together. Either the antis haven't posted in a while or they've succumbed to the dark side.

Terese deserves better than Paul. After all, it wasn't that long ago that he set Josh up with the drugs - does Terese even know about that? However, I like the chemistry between them and think they'll make an entertaining couple so I can't help but root for them.

Things are about to take a dark turn for Paul Robinson in Neighbours - and this time, he's not even guilty.

The character, played by Stefan Dennis, will be wrongly accused of causing the deadly hotel explosion in upcoming episodes.

Dennis told All About Soap magazine: "[Paul] is in a very incriminating position because he's seen going into the hotel's boiler room, which is where the explosion happens."

The actor said that some blueprints for the boiler room then turn up in Paul's briefcase, adding: "All the evidence starts pointing towards Paul being the culprit.

"He doesn't know where they've come from, but they're in his possession so everyone starts to question his innocence.

"He swears he's being framed, but he looks guilty. In typical Paul fashion, every time he tries to cover something up and look less guilty, he's actually digging himself a deeper hole!"

Asked if anyone thinks Paul is innocent, Dennis added: "Yes, his unlikely saviour in all of this is Steph. A few months ago, you would have thought she would be the last person to help Paul out - but a lot has happened and she believes he didn't do it."

We'll just have to wait and see if Paul goes down for a crime he didn't commit.

    Stefan Dennis interview
"Someone's definitely got it in for Paul!"
Stefan Dennis tells us why Paul's suspect number one for causing an explosion...

Where is Paul when the fire breaks out at Lassiters?
That's the big mystery! He's in a very incriminating positon because he's seen going into the hotel's boiler room, which is where the explosion happens.

Then some blueprints for the boiler room turn up in his briefcase, don't they?
Yes, all the evidence starts pointing towards Paul being the culprit. He doesn't know where they've come from but they're in his possession so everyone starts to question his innocence. He swears he's being framed but he looks guilty. In typical Paul fashion, every time he tries to cover something up and look less guilty, he's actually digging himself a deeper hole!

    Is he worried?
Yes, at first he's incredulous when people accuse him but then he realise that the finger is pointing to him more. He's definitely being framed...

    For once he's totally innocent!
Yes! That's the thing – of all the crimes that Paul has got away with, this one he didn't actually do but because of his past, it's making him the obvious choice to point the finger at. Everyone knows he set fire to Lassiters last time. It's not looking good...

There's even one stage when he questions if he might indirectly be responsible, isn't there?
Yes, he actually paid someone called Cecelia Saint to go and disrupt the Citizen of the Year event at the hotel because of the big rivalry between Julie Quill and Paul, who are arch-enemies. So after asking Cecelia to sabotage the event he thinks at one point that she's gone too far and that there is a chance he's indirectly responsible. He's worried about that for quite a long time – and eventually Cecelia turns out to be a nasty piece of work as well!

Who does he think is trying to frame him? Any clear suspects?
For a while he thinks it might be Mark Brennan but he's grasping at straws – he draws up this CSI-style board of all the people who he's crossed, like Victor Cleary's family because of what happened with Kate's death. Then there's Ezra Hanley, the guy who he got sacked by Quill and of course Dimato. He's got them on a list and he's ticking them off one by one but they've all got alibis!

Even Terese and Daniel think he's guilty – that can't be nice!
Yes, these two people who mean the most to him in the world don't believe him. So he isn't trying to just prove his innocence to save himself – he's also out to prove his innocence to Terese and Daniel.

How does he feel about Terese?
He's realised that he's in love with her and it breaks his heart that she doesn't trust him and thinks he is a murderer. He's also feeling awful because the explosion has big ramifications on Terese's life...

Where does Paul see his relationship with Terese going?
They're a great couple but a romance is not on the cards yet. After everything that's happened lately, it's going to take a long time for them to move forward.

    Does anyone think he's innocent?
Yes, his unlikely saviour in all of this is Steph. A few months ago, you would have thought she would be the last person to help Paul out – but a lot has happened and she believes he didn't do it.

    Are you enjoying this storyline?
Yes! There's been a huge cloud of secrecy around who caused the explosion. In fact, a lot of the cast didn't know who it was!

    Just good friends!
While we might love the budding romance between Paul and Terese, Stefan admits he's not a massive fan of their flirting! "The audience seem to like Paul and Terese as a couple," he reveals. "Rebekah (Elmaloglou, aka Terese) and I don't really want Paul and Terese together. Instead of their problems being about business and getting one up on each other, they'd be about marriage and kids! Those two would throw each other off a cliff some days but they really respect each other, which we love!"

I love the Paul and Terese intro at the beginning of Neighbours. Terese looks really beautiful in that scene, and is lovely that she`s finally getting the chance to smile and be happy for a change.
I am really warming to the idea a Paul/Terese relationship. If anyone had asked me this this time last year I would have have said "no way". But now....I really like the idea a lot. And if it ticks off Paige in the process....so much the better.
When Paige first joined I thought she was an excellent character with tons of potential. But now with all her meddling, she really irritates me.
And while I`m on the subject....a Steph and Mark relationship plot would work very well.....especially as it would make Paige jealous. And if being in a relationship with Mark would help Steph to get her son Charlie back....so much the better.
    win/win.

Everyone wants to know who caused the deadly Lassiters blast and one person looks to be the guilty party - Paul.
Lives have been shattered and Erinsborough has been left shaken by the deadly explosion that ripped through Lassiters Hotel.
Now the focus has shifted to finding out who tampered with the boiler, where the shocking blast started and it seems all evidence is pointing to one of Ramsay Street’s most notorious residents - Paul Robinson.
Just when Paul (Stefan Dennis) thought things were looking up after the corruption scandal with his new motel business and finding love with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Paul is again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Annoyed that he’d lost the contract for the Citizen of the Year Awards to Lassiters he approached Cecilia Saint (Candice Alley) prior to the explosion to ask her to cause problems for his competitor. Now he’s worried she might have gone too far.
Could something more sinister actually be at play? It looks likely when Steph (Carla Bonner) finds plans for the Lassiters boiler room in Paul’s briefcase.
When she confronts him with the damning evidence, Paul says he’s being framed. To avoid suspicion he plays on Nene’s (Ally Fowler) feelings for him to persuade her to give the police a false alibi for him but she recounts her statement when she spots Paul locked in a passionate embrace with Terese. The next thing Paul knows he’s being hauled in for questioning.
The evidence continues to mount up when Terese realises a Lassiters CCTV file has been deleted from her computer, which Paul had access. It’s enough for the police to arrest Paul for interfering with an investigation and tampering with evidence. With almost everyone against him, Paul’s only hope is his business partner Steph Scully who at first believes he’s guilty but wanting to protect their joint venture she is willing to hear his side of the story so she visits him in jail.
A desperate Paul manages to convince Steph he’s been framed and tasks her with tracking down Cecilia Saint for a confession. Unfortunately for the business mogul, Cecilia has an alibi and plans to deny any association with Paul. This doesn’t dampen Paul’s determination to prove his innocence, however and he pleads with Steph to put the motel up as bail so that he can track down Cecilia himself.
Though Steph is conflicted about risking what was supposed to be financial security for her future, she agrees so that Paul can clear his name.
Before Paul does anything the first thing on his mind is Terese, who is at Josh’s funeral saying goodbye to her son. The service proves emotionally challenging for the entire Willis family and Paul stopping by to pay his respects just makes it worse. Especially for Terese, who is so furious that he would dare show up that she attacks him, ignoring his pleas that he wouldn’t hurt her or her loved ones.
He leaves but Terese is done with him and later confronts him with a scathing verbal assault, destroying any hope of a future reconciliation by telling Paul she hates him. As Paul is once again at rock bottom, Steph appeals to him to prove he’s innocent and not the man Terese thinks he is. With Cecilia refusing to testify, does Paul have any hope?

Paul’s attempts to clear his name suffer a further blow this week, when he’s put under house arrest!
The businessman may have done some wicked things in his time but he swears he didn’t cause the explosion at Lassiters - despite being the cops’ prime suspect
However, Julie Quill believes he is to blame and turns up at the motel to let rip at him for killing her stepson Tom. When Paul lays a sympathetic hand on her arm, she reports him to the police for harassment!
Paul is stunned when Mark arrives to fit him with a tracker and tells him that he’s not allowed to leave the motel. Will Paul ever be able to prove that he’s innocent.
    Also this week
Brad is the proud winner of the Citizen of the Year Award.
