I thought it was a bad rushed exit for her, Lachlan isn't even around but she still leaves so he wins
David's voice was very squeaky tonight
Sad that they have split but not sure what other way they could have done it. At least they didn't kill her off. I think Natalie has been brilliant in the role

Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden on David's future: 'He'll probably have a new wife'
By Sophie Dainty
Wednesday, Sep 23 2015, 11:17 BST
Alicia Metcalfe only left the village a fortnight ago, but actor Matthew Wolfenden doesn't think his newly-single character David will be on his own for long.
David and Alicia's marriage came to an end after they failed to reach a decision on their future together, with Alicia ultimately choosing to head back to Portugal without him.
Although David is currently focused on helping his grief-stricken father Eric in the wake of Val's death, Wolfenden hasn't ruled out another romance for his alter ego.
Speaking to Inside Soap about Natalie Anderson's exit, he said: "It's a massive change for me but it's probably going to be even stranger for Natalie, watching new things unfold on Emmerdale without her in it.
"Whatever storyline comes next, I've got something to occupy my mind - and knowing David, he will probably have a new wife in a couple of weeks.
"But it is always sad when someone leaves - the tears in that final scene between Alicia and David, before she left for the airport, were genuine."

David reluctantly allows Leyla to work in the shop in a bid to stop her spending time with Jacob.
Discussing who David might get together with next, Wolfenden suspects that Alicia's sister Leyla could be at the top of the list. Viewers will know that the pair had a relationship during Leyla's previous stint in the show.
Wolfenden said: "I think David and Leyla could easily get back together. Maybe not in the near future as that would be a bit weird seeing as her sister's only just left. But they were such a good partnership before and I would love to work closely with Roxy [Shahidi] again."

david has a cancer scare
Emmerdale favourite David Metcalfe will be rocked by a testicular cancer scare next week.
The popular character will be told that he has a suspicious lump when he visits the doctor for a routine check-up with his father Eric Pollard.
David only goes for the check-up as moral support for his dad, who has started to leave his loved ones concerned by constantly rushing off to the toilet.
The B&B owner's sudden health troubles leave David worried that Pollard might have prostate cancer, but stubborn Pollard will only go to the doctors if his son gets himself checked out too.

The doctor encourages David to get checked over
When both men go ahead with their appointments, Doctor Bailey finds that David has a lump and he later leaves his old flame Leyla Harding shellshocked by revealing that he might have cancer.
Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David, revealed: "The doctor sits David down after giving him a bit of an MOT and says: 'I have found a small lump on your right testicle. It might be nothing, but I am going to book you in for a scan to see exactly what it is. It could just be a cyst'.
"It is a big shock, but the doctor does put David's mind at rest and say: 'Most of the time it's nothing'. This scan is a precaution, so even though he is a bit nervous, David's mind is put at rest that it will probably be alright."

Doctor Bailey reassures David
Viewers will have to wait and see what the outcome is for David, but this storyline was first planned by Emmerdale's former producer Kate Oates before she finished work at the ITV soap last year.
The show's team are hoping that David's story will encourage men to check themselves so that testicular cancer can be caught early.

David confides in Leyla about his health worries
"What Kate wanted to highlight was that young guys in their early 20s to mid 30s, which is when it is quite prevalent, should check themselves," Wolfenden continued. "It's not something I have ever done, but I definitely will from now on.
"It has never happened to me, but it has highlighted the fact that I don't think lads really check themselves or think it's them that it will happen to. I have had friends that have had testicular cancer and had a testicle removed, so it's been quite interesting to talk to them about doing this storyline. If it highlights that, it's going to be quite good."
Emmerdale fans will see David's storyline begin on Tuesday, March 29 at 7pm on ITV.

There could be some dark days ahead for David Metcalfe as the discovery of a lump leads him to fear that he may be suffering from cancer.
The devastating discovery comes as David continues to worry about his dad, Eric Pollard, who is visiting the toilet more than normal. But as Eric shows reluctance in getting himself checked out, David is forced to agree to get himself an appointment too so that his dad has some support.
However, what starts as just a standard check up ends up leaving David with more concern, as he later confides in Leyla that a lump has been found on his testicle. Worried that he may have cancer, David becomes distant and, while we can’t reveal if he will be diagnosed or it’s a false alarm, it’s most definitely a terrifying time for the local shopkeeper.
We caught up with actor Matthew Wolfenden who plays David and he took us through the worrying developments for his character…
So David is worried about Pollard – can you tell us about it?
His initial thought is the fact that it is all revolving around the time when we are doing like a little memorial for Valerie and she is having a headstone brought in which turns out to be this enormous Valerie style angel with wings on it and sensors on it so it plays music and stuff, so David initially thinks all his problems are due to him still kind of grieving really. It’s not until David realises that he is constantly running to the toilet that he kind of goes, this is a bit weird, David Googles it, obviously, the worst thing to do is Google anything, I know that now from Charley [Webb] sat Googling at home everything that the baby does, it is always a horror story, so the first thing that comes up is that it is prostate cancer, that is when he starts to panic.
So they go to the doctor?
Yes, that is not an easy feat with Pollard as he is so headstrong and also I think he’s slightly panicked by it as well, he has probably done his research or knows that as he’s a man of a certain age it’s probably not a good sign, so the fact that David flags it up, he tries to say ‘I am fine there’s nothing wrong with me’ and then two minutes later he is running back to the toilet. He knows that David is talking sense, but he is still not willing to go to the doctor’s to get that confirmation.
Why does David agree to a check himself?
David collars Pollard and says ‘listen, there is something wrong here because you are spending all your day running in and out of the bathroom’ so he says ‘I am taking you to the doctors tomorrow’, and Pollard says ‘I will go if you go’, he says ‘yeah fine, it is nothing’. Pollard needs or wants a friend there and he says ‘if I am going to have a check up and all the nasty things they have to do to check for prostate cancer then you are going to come and have an MOT. You are in your mid 30s now, have you had a check up?’ And David hasn’t so he agrees to it.
What does he think when the doctor says he has found a lump?
He agrees to go with his dad, his dad is taken into one room, the doctor calls David and he says, ‘to be honest with you, I am only here to get him here, I don’t want to waste your time I am fine, there is nothing wrong with me.’ The doctor says ‘you have an appointment now you might as well come in and I will give you a once over.’ He sits David down after giving him a bit of an MOT and says ‘I have found a small lump on your right testicle and it might be nothing, but in the same vein, it could be something, so I am going to book you in for a scan to see exactly what it is, it could just be a cyst.’ It is a big shock, but the doctor does put his mind at rest and say ‘most of the time it’s nothing. This scan is a precaution’ so even though he is a bit nervous, his mind is put at rest that it will probably be alright…
But could there be bad news on the horizon?

I had a friend who at 22 found a cancerous lump and lost a testicle, so well dome Emmerdale for highlighting this

I recall a storyline of Zak Dingle having testicular cancer quite a few years back in Emmerdale,.
Its good that this storyline is making people aware that even young people need to get checked out for cancerous lumps. The death of Jade Goody has taught us that no one is immune from this cruel disease....even the young one who think themselves invincible.
Well done Emmerdale.
