Emmerdale: Michael Parr on Ross and Charity's future - "They'd have sex just to annoy Cain!"
"There's obviously some chemistry between them," adds the actor

Charity Dingle is to blackmail Ross Barton into fleecing a high-class jewellers in next week's Emmerdale - and actor Michael Parr is enjoying seeing Ross revert to his bad boy ways.

"Charity and Ross work well together and there's a lot of money to be made and a lot of trouble to be caused," says the soap star. "For the audience, it'd be much better to see them together."

Upcoming episodes of the ITV soap will see Charity blackmail Ross for £50,000 after dropping the bombshell that she knows about him shooting Robert.

True to form, Ross turns to crime as a way of getting himself out of the mess. "He has to do whatever Charity says," Parr insists. "She's the boss of him at the moment. He needs to raise a large amount of cash and is there anything more valuable in this world than diamonds? So Ross ends up robbing a very fancy jewellery shop."

But Ross isn't expecting his blackmailer to turn criminal cohort when Charity steps in to help him get away with his heist. And pretty soon, Charity is spying an opportunity for a more permanent business arrangement with Ross.

But could the two soon be mixing business with pleasure? "I don't know. There's obviously some chemistry between them. They've been there before and they'd probably have sex just to annoy Cain! We'll have to wait and see where that one goes."

And is Parr happy to see Ross walking a dangerous path again? After all, he was starting to become a responsible father figure after bonding with his and Charity's son Moses. "Well, it was nice to have him settle down and do the family thing. But the audience knew it didn't really suit him. So as long as he keeps being a good father, I like Ross being the naughty boy!"

I'm really "Urrrrr"-+++++ on the "silver fox" look for that very special guy.

For me, this is just another joke storyline for that very special guy.

Plus, of course, that very special guy takes baby Moses with him as his accomplice for his big diamond heist.

Did anyone else notice how that very special guy and "this rich businessman provider" resembles Edward with his Pretty Woman?

You know, there is really no real need to watch any movies nowadays as Emmerdale seems to set up soap-based remakes for everyone to see away from box-office sooner or later from 7pm on ITV. Haha!

What really gets me right now is how the actor gives such a smart interview and then threw in the grenade that Charity and Ross may be an item... Much history shows that what the actor says is usually the opposite of what he means. So, my conclusion for now is that Charity really does really (mis)use this guy but there is really nothing maybe that follows on any emotional level beyond teasing? (Charity is my totally now DevilGirl for me, of course, whereas Ross remains so... numpty! and just another poor sap fool who provides money and things to some woman. So what, that's usual life for many guys, just isn't it? Haha!)

Ross, really listen to me! You are so rubbish and a complete misfit on Emmerdale! Haha! You are truly my fave tragic hero right now. You are so totally dislikeable and unadmirable and have no endearing or redeemable qualities at all. You really haven't been yourself since you came back "from the dead" in August 2015. I really don't get why you hang around Emmerdale when there are great places for girls and fun around Magaluf and Ibiza and elsewhere. You could have such a better life elsewhere, believe me!

    Signed:

Your guardian angel (I really try but you're such an impossible and naughty...)

It is silly because Charity will know that Debbie will be brought into it and I'm pretty sure Cain would have something to say. It's just all a plot to get them back working together. I doubt she would actually go to the police about the shooting. She would lose out of it too

I don't think Charity would go to the police, it's not really an option it's not the Dingle way generally & she would get Debbie into trouble if she placed doubt over her alibi she gave Ross.

Charity (and Cain as well) like the fact they have Ross backed into a corner primed for blackmail for whatever purposes they want but what she could do is reveal the truth to the Sugden's if Victoria especially found out all hell would break loose she's a very moral person and how would Ross' family react to hearing he tried to get Pete murdered & yet sat there while Pete got banged up

& the more of these crimes Ross commits the more they hold over his head. Eventually things will come to ahead you have to think, I can imagine Charity & Cain joining forces against Ross if he retaliates or gets close to Debbie's whereabouts.

In the spoilers it says Charity and Ross call Debbie so that won't work.

Yeah. When it gets shown I will probably post my views to the show more publicly if it's not very consistent.

Nothing really new here but Michael Parr shows a lot of admiration for Emma which i think is nice.

    Emmerdale’s Charity blackmails Ross
Charity Dingle is up to her old tricks again on Emmerdale when she blackmails Ross Barton over shooting Robert Sugden.

The village bad girl wastes no time in putting her money making schemes into action when she is released from prison, and one of those schemes is to first blackmail Emma Barton follow her recent stunt with Charity’s son Noah.

When Ross discovers that Charity is blackmailing his mother he immediately leaps to her defence, but he is in for a shock when Charity reveals she’s got something on him too.

Actor Michael Parr, who plays new dad Ross, explained: “Charity plays her ace card and her ace card is she knows Ross shot Robert. Charity is always good at finding out things about people so she can use it against them.”

Charity tells Ross that in exchange for her silence, she wants £50,000 – and the only way Ross can think to get the money is to steal diamonds from a jewellery shop.

“It’s very frustrating for Ross because he is trying to walk away from that,” said Parr. “He (shot Robert) when he was in a dark place and it keeps being used against him.

“Charity now has ultimate control over Ross and can pretty much get him to do whatever she wants.”

Donning a disguise, Ross is set to commit the crime and get Charity’s money, but he runs into a small problem – he can’t get anyone to look after their son Moses.

Parr continued: “He is being held back a little on this job because he has very precious cargo with him in the form of his little boy. He doesn’t want to take Moses with him, but unfortunately no one is willing to look after him and he is in desperate need to find this cash.

“So he and Moses become partners in crime,” he joked.

And while Ross’ great heist doesn’t quite go to plan, Charity arrives at the last minute to help him pull it off – is this the beginning of a new venture for the pair?

“I think they make a good partnership,” said Parr. “Obviously there has been a bit of a spark there between them in the past, but I think that’s kind of gone away.

“I think there’s lots of money to be made and lots of trouble to be caused, for the audience it will be much better to see them together.

“It was nice to have Ross settle down for a bit, but I think, for the audience, it didn’t really suit him. So as long as he keeps being a good father, I like Ross being the naughty boy.”

On actress Emma Atkins returning to her role as Charity, Parr added: “She is lots of fun – she is just a laugh on set, but then when the cameras start rolling, because she is so lovely it is almost surreal to watch her become this evil and twisted character.

“Every scene with her is an acting masterclass so I’m very happy that I’ve been paired up with her.”
