Maybe Ross does the job then refuses to give Charity the money giving her all the reasons how her grassing could backfire just to prove a point that she's met her match. That way he will be 50k richer plus he will have one up on Charity.

That would be a dream end to the storyline. It's got to end at some point because Charity will just keep blackmailing Ross!

Any excuse! Emmerdale's Ross Barton robs a jewellery shop in disguise after Charity blackmails him
Will the pair renew their criminal partnership?

Emmerdale bad boy Ross Barton will return to a life of crime next week - and for once it takes some persuading.

Ross has to resort to another robbery when he finds himself blackmailed by ruthless Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who uses his biggest secret against him in tense scenes.

It all kicks off when Ross discovers that Charity has started to blackmail his mum Emma over the recent stunt she pulled with Noah.

Ross jumps in to defend his mum and confronts Charity, but he's left gobsmacked when she reveals that she also knows he shot Robert Sugden last year.

Threatening to expose his guilt and get him locked up, Charity demands £50,000 from Ross in exchange for her silence. And - you guessed it - another defenceless shop owner soon finds themselves targeted by Ross.

Michael Parr, who plays Ross, revealed: "When Ross finds out what's going on between his mum and Charity, he grabs Charity and pins her up against the wall. Then she plays her ace card, which is that she knows that he shot Robert.

"It's not a total shock, as Charity is always good at finding out things about people that she can use against them. But it's very frustrating, because Ross is trying to move away from that dark place and it keeps being used against him. Charity has ultimate control over Ross. She can pretty much get him to do whatever she wants."

Backed into a corner and desperate for cash, Ross heads off to a jewellery shop dressed in a disguise. His plan to steal some diamonds doesn't go entirely to plan, but he's in luck when Charity arrives too and helps him to pull it off. Could this be the start of the pair renewing their criminal partnership?

Parr continued: "Ross is being held back on this particular job, because he has precious cargo with him in the form of his little boy Moses. He doesn't want to take Moses with him, but unfortunately nobody is willing to look after him. So him and Moses become partners in crime!

"As always with Ross, things don't go very smoothly. But luckily Charity steps in and helps him to get away with it. It's partly because she wants the cash, but maybe she also sees an opportunity for a little business arrangement.

"It was nice to have Ross settle down for a little bit, but I think the audience know it didn't really suit him. As long as he keeps being a good father, I like Ross being the naughty boy."

Ross and Charity may be working together again, but is there any chance that the sexual chemistry between them could also be reignited?

Parr laughed: "I don't know, I think there's obviously some chemistry between them and they've been there before. They would probably use each other to wind other people up. They would probably have sex just to annoy Cain, really! But we'll have to wait and see where that one goes."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.

it will be good seeing Ross in some action again. That disguise though lol

    Also

Using his newly reformed bond with Charity, Ross is determined to get in touch with Debbie and asks for Charity’s help to find her number.

Using Andy as an excuse to try and get her number off of Cain, Charity raises his suspicions.

Later, as Ross and Charity make the call, how will Debbie react to hearing from them?
