Steph Has A Fight On Her Hands

Steph Scully (Carla Bonner) longs for just one thing, to be with her son Charlie but news that ex husband Max’s new wife Philippa wants to adopt him has thrown for her a loop. After meeting Charlie again without Max’s knowledge thanks to Lyn’s (Janet Andrewartha) interference she feels she has made a connection with him, so when he returns to the street she is overjoyed that he wants to spend time with her. However when Philippa arrives, having discovered that Charlie had made his way to Erinsborough, she’s not happy. Although she sees the growing bond between Steph and Charlie, she takes him away.
Philippa then uncovers some information about Steph and Paul thanks to Lyn and hopes she will be able to use it if she needs to. Later, she presents Steph with a letter consenting to Charlie’s adoption and making it clear she holds all the cards, puts Steph in a position where she is unlikely to get much contact with Charlie whether she signs or not. Lyn thinks that all is lost but Steph discovers the fire within: she’s going to fight for Charlie. She tears up the adoption papers, now Toadie must once again fight for his friend as he begins the steps to start the mediation process.

A heatwave hits Erinsborough resulting in issues for several residents, not least Sonya who has a very public meltdown that threatens to make her the laughing stock of the community. Largely thanks to Paige who may not be doing anything to help win her over with naysayers this week.
Sheila doesn’t enjoy the heat either, she collapses but there is a question as to why. Was it another heart attack or was it something else? Is a blazing row with Xanthe over a party the reason for her sudden deterioration?
It’s time to work on a bucket list for Lou and Doug and Lou wastes no time in making sure his old friend has a day to remember. Whilst this inspires Lou to announce he wants to walk the Kokoda track, for Doug things don’t work out quite so well– especially when he and Lauren share an awkward moment when he confuses her for Pam. It’s time for the Willis family to really notice how quickly his health is going downhill.
Tyler finds that things are moving quicker than he would like with Courtney and decides that he needs to have a talk about where they at. Unfortunately that talk doesn’t go that well and after a row, it seems that her actions may actually have pushed Tyler and Imogen closer together – even if he doesn’t realise it.
Terese is ropable when she discovers that Paul’s doing everything in his power to make his new motel a cheap rip-off of Lassiters. Fighting fire with fire, Terese temporarily lowers room rates at Lassiters, hoping this will kill Paul’s business before it’s even started. Not to be daunted, Paul resorts to more dirty tactics, resulting in Paul and Terese being locked together in a dark and steamy storeroom.

Lauren is shocked to realise that Doug’s illness is a lot more serious than she first though.


Wednesday, 24th February

Xanthe’s behaviour spells disaster for Sheila when she collapses mid-argument!
Brad is sad when Lauren tells him what happened the night before.


Thursday, 25th February

Everyone waits nervously at the hospital for news of Sheila.
Sonya has a trying day as mayor of Erinsborough.
Lou comes up with a bucket list!


Friday, 26th February

Sonya decides she needs an assistant.
Mark accuses Paige of a new crime.

Monday, 22nd February - Here comes the son

Charlie shows up at Steph’s having made his own way to Erinsborough. Steph tries to talk to her son but is unsure what to do when Charlie plays up around Jimmy. She attempts to discipline Charlie and upsets him. When she finds out Charlie was just jealous, they finally start to bond.


Tuesday, 23rd February - Best day ever

Lou organises a bucket-list day for Doug involving race cars and poker. Doug loves it and ends the day dancing with Lauren, who is shocked when he mistakenly kisses her.
Charlie’s stepmother hands Steph adoption papers.
Piper must choose between family and a friend.


Wednesday, 24th February - Tough love

Xanthe’s bad behaviour continues though her attempts at throwing a party at Paul’s motel are thwarted, leaving to a heated argument with Sheila who collapses.
Brad struggles with the extent of Doug’s Alzheimer’s.
Steph prepares to fight for Charlie.

No confirmation on whether they will or won't.
I reckon they'll keep them apart for a while, because TV shows love angst storylines and then they will eventually get back together. But that's just pure speculation!

I hope they do as they are very good together...just need to be honest with each other...
