EastEnders returnee Belinda Slater will clash bitterly with her sister Kat Moon when she arrives back in Walford later this month.

Belinda turns up on Albert Square following the tragic death of her dad Charlie, which sparks a new family feud between the Slaters.

Viewers will see Charlie pass away in emotional scenes next week, suffering a sudden heart attack after Kat (Jessie Wallace) discovers the truth about her long-lost son.

Although Charlie had no idea about Kat's missing child, his health takes a fatal turn for the worse amid the rows and recriminations.

As Kat, Mo and Alfie all try to come to terms with the loss of Charlie in the days that follow, they're all in for a shock when Belinda shows up in a furious mood.

Looking for someone to blame, Belinda angrily tells Kat that she finally killed their dad. Alfie is quick to jump to Kat's defence as the sisters find themselves at war, but is there any reasoning with Belinda?

Belinda was last seen on the Square for Kat's wedding to Alfie at Christmas 2003, then played by Leanne Lakey. Hollyoaks and Holby City star Carli Norris will now be portraying the role.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 11 at 8pm on BBC One.

Belinda Slater (also Peacock), played by Leanne Lakey from 2001 to 2003 and Carli Norris in 2016, is the sister of Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Lynne Hobbs (Elaine Lordan), Little Mo Slater (Kacey Ainsworth) and daughter of Viv (April Martin and Natasya Rush) and Charlie Slater (Derek Martin). Belinda rejected her working class roots and likes to think she is superior to her sisters, but is not as classy as she makes out.
The character will return in January 2016 for a guest stint, portrayed by Norris.[13] Of her casting, the actress commented, "Becoming one of the Slaters is an absolute dream, especially to be part of such a big and important storyline. It's brilliant to be working with Shane and Jessie."[13]

Monday 11th January 2016
Stacey and Arthur are still missing. When Nancy and Tamwar hear a crying baby, they realise that Stacey and Arthur are both on the roof of The Vic. When Martin is alerted to the worrying situation, he tries to talk to Stacey alone and convinces her that he will take care of her and Arthur. However, he's shocked when Stacey tells him that Arthur is not his son - he is the son of God.
Martin gains Stacey's trust by pretending to share her delusion and she hands Arthur over to him. There's further horror when Stacey slips and nearly falls from the roof, but Martin grabs her just in time.
Meanwhile, with Shabnam now knowing the truth, Kush realises his marriage could be over - but he is also fearing for Arthur's whereabouts.
Elsewhere, Billy struggles when he arrives to take Charlie's body away. Alfie tries his best to support Kat, but he also knows that she needs to know the truth about his own health, he finally plucks up the courage to tell her, but they are interrupted when Belinda arrives and angrily tells Kat that she has finally killed their dad.
Also today, Phil's guilt about causing the crash intensifies when Sharon admits that seeing Kat with Charlie made her relive Christmas Day all over again. Seeking solace, Phil drinks alone in The Arches and soon blurts out the truth to Shirley when she joins him.

Tuesday 12th January 2016
When Phil finally goes home, he learns that Sharon has left for the hospital after receiving an urgent call about Dennis. When Phil rushes off to join her, he learns that Dennis has contracted an infection. Sharon once again vows that she will never forgive Ian for what he has done.
When they later return home, Phil's guilt catches up with him and he finally confesses that he was the one driving the car on Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, Martin struggles to know what to do when he realises that Stacey's psychosis is still intense. When Nancy calls to tell him that she has Stacey's phone, Martin goes to collect it but gets more than he bargained for when Nancy asks questions about the previous night. Martin doesn't reveal anything, but later when Alfie asks after Stacey, it looks as though Martin may admit the truth.
Elsewhere, with Belinda's accusations still hanging in the air, Kat finds herself at war with her sister. Alfie is quick to jump to Kat's defence. Kat also opens up to Alfie about her conversation with Sister Ruth
Also today, Kush and Shabnam's relationship is at breaking point. He desperately tries to hold onto his wife, but can he persuade her to stay?

Thursday 14th January 2016
Sharon is shocked by Phil's confession. She immediately rushes to see Ian and demands the truth from him instead. After hearing everything, Sharon slaps Phil.
Later, as Sharon drinks alone in the Albert, Phil gives into his own temptation to drink back home. Ian goes to find Sharon at The Albert and explains his actions, but she's still furious with Phil and goes home to collect her things. Phil makes Sharon a desperate offer, before drunkenly taking drastic action and none of his family can stop him.
Meanwhile, Carmel seeks solace at Masood's, but will she tell him the truth about Arthur's paternity? It doesn't take long before they end up sharing a kiss, which leads to more.

Friday 15th January 2016
Phil reaches a new low, leaving the Mitchells despairing over his latest behaviour. Determined to fix past mistakes, Phil goes looking for Louise. However, he has hard job trying to find where she is as the family aren't so keen to help.
When Phil finally tracks Louise down at school he hands her a bag of money before collapsing suddenly...
Meanwhile, Shirley approaches Ben and ends up telling him that she knew that Phil was driving the car. Unhappy, Ben accuses her of trying to wreck everything. Kathy soon arrives and shares her fears about Phil, but can any of them help him?
