I am disgusted and appalled by Zak and Joanie's behaviour, poor Lisa after all she does for Zak and his kids and Joanie and Kyle

I'm appalled of the whole storyline.. Is Zak or Lisa leaving? Otherwise I don't understand this..And even then, they would have deserved to be spared from such nonsense..!!! Zak and Lisa have always been such a strong couple and the pillars of Emmerdale. When everything else crumbles, there's always been Zak and Lisa Dingle. <3

A friend sent me an article from the Daily Wail saying Steve Halliwell wants a break for a while ... I don´t read that particular publication so not sure how true and accurate that is... it would fit in with the storlyine though ..

his mobility is poor - I don't know how old the actor is, but he shuffles rather than moves

and there is the storyline of handing the head of the dingles title over to Cain?

Well theyve given him.far fetched reasons
for his absences before ( going to South America)
But when he had a fling - with wife of another
patient when he had cancer- didnt write him
out then.
I suppose "strong" & " happy" in.marital
terms mean different things to different
people.
I do.think Zak & Lisa are well matched
in a way - they try to retain too much
control over their family but they are
getting older -its not so believable -
And some of the family might do
better without their help /control.

I feel.sorry for Belle - with them
for parents!
Probably better gor ED if Zak Lisa
& Joanie were written out at least for
a while!
I realise Im in the minority in posters
not necessarlily amongst viewers!

Yes -he has looked poorly for some time.
I hope he recovers from whatever the problem is.

When the character first came into ED he was
a bare -knuckle fighter- rougeish ( anti - social)
character and I think they tried to keep
him that way for too long. Everyone does age
and pretending they dont -doesnt help
keep characters believable.
It was mentioned about Cain as you say -
Some time ago- but not followed up.

Per Wiki.Steve Halliwell is 61.
No.date of birth for character is given
but he was married to Nellie ( nee Lynch)
1970- 1997 so would be at least same age
as actor- for marriage to be legal.
Married Lisa 1998.
