Kat closes in on Charlotte. Josh struggles to return to life at home. Irene´s strong facade begins to crack. Hannah is drawn back into Andy’s orbit.

Wednesday

Will Oscar be found? Is Irene heading down a dark path? Nate’s proposal is sabotaged again.

Thursday

Matt and Maddy kiss. Irene reveals her haunting secret. The storm uncovers Charlotte’s deadly secret.

I think Olivia reveals the details of her self harm/abuse this coming week (in Aust). Maybe Irene's "haunting secret" is that she also suffered something similar in her past (which may have been why she originally started drinking all those years ago??), which is now bringing back bad memories for her??

I thought she was in an abusive relationship that got her drinking but I might remember that wrong

Thanks Perdita, you are probably right! I was going to ask if anybody remembered whether it had ever been mentioned why she started drinking. I have been watching H&A for a long time & so much has happened over the years I simply just couldn't remember!!!

All it says in Wikia is- After hitting rock
bottom in an unhappy marriage- Irene
starts drinking heavily as a coping mechanism.

She was played by a different actress for first
couple of years. Pippa & Michael were fostering
her children.
I remember being shocked at the time by
how "loud etc" she was. Didnt seem to
fit into.Summer Bay.Now shes one of the
stalwarts!!
