That's a good idea. He could have gone to visit Andy and received a serious injury that would take a long time to heal. Michelle would probably go out for a short while but could return as he would be in no danger.

The only problem is that because Simon Gregson's off work due to illness, the time stated (three months I believe) could be extended several times. I hope that doesn't happen!

The trouble with giving Andy cancer or another serious illness is that it would be extremely strange if Liz didn't go too. I can't think of a good reason to have Steve away from Michelle, Liz and his businesses for months to be honest.

But what does Andy do for his job, could STeve not go to help his twin who is having problems, that way, Liz would not need to go, and it's naturaly for siblings to help each other, I would help mine!
