3) How Ashley is involved in a medical issue, either for himself (epilepsy/Alzheimer's/early dementia) or Sandy (prostate cancer/old-age depression/other).

POTD: Emmerdale reveals who shot Robert Sugden

It's time for another huge soap revelation tonight (October 22) as Emmerdale airs the resolution to the 'Who Shot Robert Sugden?' mystery.

The ITV soap will unveil the cunning culprit in a special hour-long 'rewind' episode, which takes viewers back to the night that Robert was shot four weeks ago.

Filling in all the blanks from that fateful evening, the flashback airing will show the crucial events leading up to the shooting, who pulled the trigger and what the surprising motive was.

As there were a few red herrings in the mix too, two other secrets will be revealed that will rock the village forever...
