Andy phoned Diane and Victoria just before Robert got shot, they then found the broken photo of Robert and Chrissie on the private lounge floor and assumed that Andy was around (I think Lawrence broke the photo after Robert left Lawrence alone in the lounge after Robert's text message came through). Diane and Vic might have gone downstairs into the pub and told Aaron that they thought Andy was around. Aaron would then have gone looking for Andy, heard the gunshot whilst at the garage and then ran behind the line of cottages leading to the pub car park where Aaron found Chas kneeling next to Robert. So, there isn't any proof from this that Andy was in Emmerdale, just an assumption based on a mobile phone call received by Diane and Victoria in the pub private lounge.

I think Ross is not happy that Andy is friendly now towards Pete because Ross wanted Pete to be miserable about leaving Ross for dead in the woods and was hoping that Pete would kill himself. This obviously hasn't worked yet for Ross, hence Ross's new way of making it look as if Pete commits suicide by falling off the viaduct. I think Pete is the only person who knows that Ross had a gun before Ross threw it into the stream, so this is another reason for wanting Pete dead. I don't know what the spoiler "Pete is horrified to learn the truth..." means as yet but it could be that the police tell everyone (Wed 21st/Thur 22nd?) that Aaron's gun wasn't the one that was used to shoot Robert with, so Pete thinks Ross shot Robert with Ross's gun (but this doesn't mean Ross did, of course, but it does raise questions that he might have for Pete)?

Ross may have his own reasons for wanting to kill Robert in the hospital. Maybe Cain or Chrissie sets him up to do it for money, or maybe Ross just knows that Robert knows something about Ross which is enough to try to kill him?

Everything is still unclear and questions remain.

Andy had run off in a state after Aaron & Chas had backed up Robert's lies about Katie's death, Aaron feeling guilty went out looking for him all over he said when he heard the shot he was at the garage looking at that point.

Ross sees April, who is angry about having to live with Arthur. Much to her amazement, Ross seems to know exactly what it's like to hate a sibling. James goes to the pub looking for Ross but ends up confiding in Chas how he has failed his sons.

Later, Debbie calls to see Ross after returning from her holidays. She wants him to kiss her, but he warns that he will only end up hurting her. Is he right?

Meanwhile, Rishi lies to Jai regarding the reason for his meeting with the solicitor. Priya remains under pressure when the family worry about her working too hard and question whether her eating disorder could return. Priya screams at Rakesh and tells him to get out of the office. Later, after speaking to Laurel, Rishi makes a phone call and warns the person on the other end that his proposal isn't going to make either of them popular...

    Hour-long episode

Nikhil returns to the village with Molly following Rishi's call about Jai's behaviour. Rishi hopes to convince Nikhil to stay on longer, but he still has his demons regarding Gennie's death and is seemingly unable to forgive Debbie for the part she played.

Later, Jai's behaviour causes a factory walkout. Rishi is furious over the chaos and Jai is given his marching orders. Jai feels he has been stabbed in the back as a result. Nikhil visits David to talk about the situation but reiterates that the village holds too many bad memories for him to stay. As the day continues, Megan bumps into an out-of-control Jai but walks away.

Meanwhile, when Debbie asks Ross to move in permanently, he tells her the truth about what happened while she was away. Andy and Pete are both troubled to learn that Debbie and Ross are living together again. However, Ross and Pete soon discuss how they have to stop fighting each other, as their parents wouldn't cope if they both ended up in prison.

Later, Cain warns Debbie not to expect him to be there when it all goes wrong. The police call and ask Ross about the incident with Pete and Debbie is worried about what he will say. Will Ross cover for Pete or drop him in it?

Elsewhere, Lachlan is told about the Youth Offending team. When he overhears Chrissie talking to Bernice about him, he heads off to the Halloween party with an edge to his attitude.

Belle also arrives at the party and her heart sinks when she spots Kirin and Vanessa laughing together. Ignoring advice from Zak that she shouldn't drink as it could interfere with her medication, Belle starts downing shots and making a fool of herself. Kirin offers to take Belle home but she decides to head back by herself. When Lachlan gets kicked out of the party, he follows Belle as she stumbles out. Will he offer any help or make things worse?

What incident with Pete is it that the police are asking Ross about? It says "will Ross cover for Pete?" How would the police even find out about their feud and what they have done to each other

I'm guessing that James calls the police after receiving Pete's text that Pete's going to commit suicide on Tuesday Oct 27th. The police may even send out a search party that day but in any case they later question Ross on Thursday Oct 29th about what "the incident" was all about, whatever it was. Pete is back in Emmerdale by then and he and Ross call a truce (at least for now!).

Soaplife has today published a story about the viaduct incident. At the end it says:

    >
But at the end of this drama, Pete's gone and Ross looks like he's leaving Emmerdale.

Then two things happen: April says something to Ross that makes him think, and Debbie returns from holiday - and Ross is in turmoil all over again.
    >

    >
    Debbie in danger with Pete

After his showdown with Pete, Ross is about to disappear when Debbie calls around to see him.

'She tells Ross that she wants him to kiss her - but he warns her he'll only end up hurting her,' reveals our Emmerdale insider.

'Debbie asks Ross to move in with her, but she's scared when he tells her what happened while she was away,' adds our insider.

So she should be. But is Debbie horrified enough to change her locks and tell Ross she never wants to see or hear from him again?

    No, of course she isn't.

'Cain warns Debbie he won't be there when it all goes wrong,' adds our source.
