Yes, I think youtube must have made changes. The s means it is a secure site so presumably before they didn't have the certificate or whatever it is that gets the s to appear. I'm not used to seeing the s on sites I'm not spending/accessing money on!

I posted videos years ago without changing the address in any way. There must be a default that only embeds http:// videos or something. Presumably if it was changed then any videos not on a https:// would fall over in the same way (DailyMotion is one, I believe.)

More and more sites have started automatically using secure connections since the Edward Snowden revelations. It's a good thing because it helps safeguard our privacy. I'm not an expert or anything, but I assume both addresses land on the same web page but https uses an encrypted connection whereas http is open for anyone to snoop on.

As for other videos, the forum software doesn't recognise them all unfortunately. I believe every different player requires a specific plugin enabled on this site. ITV changed their videos (from youtube to something new) a while back so we were no longer able to embed their videos. I don't know if that's still the case or if they went back to using youtube.

I was especially irritated at the way Piper immediately befriended Lauren. That's so unrealistic! Children usually hate parents' new partners, especially ones with whom the parent was unfaithful.

Terese must feel really rejected and I think she's coping admirably with everything overall. You'd have to be an absolute saint not to react angrily and pettily the way she did about the renovations.

The story is too far removed from real life - there is too much niceness and letting stuff go than real families just would not do (ok its a soap !!)

Terese is painted as the bad one as she has a temper and is assertive - Lauren is the girl next door that butter wouldn't melt in her mouth .....

For the likes and dislikes of the characters - the story line is just rubbish ... and as for Brad moving in across the road .... a few might do it .... but with so many kids involved too in the story its far to accommodating .. its just lost the plot as far as I am concerned.

I know Terese cheated to get Brad ... but I certainly wouldn't like Lauren as a friend - she is so self indulgent - I would say it was maternal instincts to protect her family, but she's blown that apart months ago letting Brad know how available she is for him.

I really hope I'm wrong as I'd find it so infuriating, but I'm beginning to think - the way Terese is being portrayed as the "bad guy" - that Piper and Josh (particularly Josh) will be shown as being "totally understanding" about Brad choosing to save Lauren over their mother....! I can just see it being presented as "Oh well, Terese was okay in the end so no harm done...."!!! And then Terese will be portrayed as being "unreasonable" for being upset and angry about Brad's decision!

Grr, I hope Paige doesn't fall for Tyler. She's been so attached to Mark lately, it just wouldn't make sense. Adding the fact that it'd be so awkward for Mark if they did get together. Script writers, why you do this?! Lol.
