The hope is for an unanimous verdict.
If not possible then judge can accept a
majority verdict where at least 10 are agreed.
If not there is no verdict -the foreman
could nobble a couple of jurors - making only
9 agreed.
He couldnt overrule as all jurors go back into
court - whilst out they can send questions to
judge.
If less than 10 agree and that doesnt change
- there is no verdict and another trial would be
needed.
