I've commented several times that Corrie don't seem to be making a big deal of this upcoming live episode. Where's all the hype and the promises? I can only assume it's being kept relatively low key because it's ITV's anniversary and not Corrie's - which begs the question: what's the point of doing the live episode at all if it isn't to create a massive event?

maybe itv and corrie know it wont live up to any hype so no massive buzz for it

I sure you will be correct.

I have allowed myself an hopelessy
optimistic moment in which I thought
that there might be that "once in blue
moon" soap moment when we got
    a real ( unpublicised) shock - a loved
    character dies or something totally
    unexpected happens!

    My lightheadedness soon passed off!!

I think the main reason for these " events" is
to keeo up with the others. But better ideas
scripts and acting would do that!
