Meanwhile, Lindsey Butterfield may have to watch out on Hollyoaks as her obsessive sister Kim chooses her as a new target.

With Kim (Daisy Wood-Davis) still stung after her Grace Black fixation ended in tears, she finds herself in a reflective mood over where everything has gone so wrong for her.

In a heart-to-heart with Lindsey (Sophie Austin), an emotional Kim admits that whenever she is happy, she hits the self-destruct button to punish herself for what happened to her twin sister Kath when they were younger.

Still upset about being cut off from Kath, unhinged Kim decides to dye her hair dark so that Lindsey can be her 'twin' instead.

Kim and Lindsey also make plans to pay a rare visit to Kath, but this idea is put on hold when Freddie suddenly surprises Lindsey with an American-themed 30th birthday party at the pub.

As Kim hasn't been invited, she has organised her own mini-celebration in Kath's room at the care home - complete with banners, balloons and birthday cake. She then explodes with rage when she sees a picture of Lindsey at her party on social media.

Kim tries to put on a brave face when she finally arrives at the other celebration at the pub, but things get worse for her when Freddie announces that he's taking Lindsey and JJ to America for a holiday tomorrow. Feeling more isolated than ever, does Kim have some more tricks up her sleeve?

Ben is angry at Jason for arresting Trevor. In their cell, Robbie tries to get Trevor to confess to killing Carly, but they're interrupted by Ben and a sheepish Jason, who release them without charge. Holly is furious at Jason for arresting his brother, but is she just angry because she has feelings for Robbie? Soon afterwards, Holly tells Robbie that she was worried about him and they nearly kiss.

Later, Jason takes his anger out on the punch bag at the garage and Holly is alarmed when she turns up to apologise and finds him passed out on the floor.

Meanwhile, Kim tells Lindsey that whenever she is happy, she hits self-destruct to punish herself for what happened to Kath. Lindsey suggests they both go and visit their sister. Later at the Roscoes', Kim transforms herself to look like Lindsey, but why?

Elsewhere, Patrick asks Maxine to move away with him so he can live out his final days in the sun. Maxine bumps into Darren outside Price Slice and he urges her to let him know if Patrick ever hurts her again. Later, Patrick is draining pasta when suddenly he loses strength in his hand and spills boiled water over himself.

Also today, Nico goes to The Loft to show Trevor the messages from 'Goth Boy', but he tells her that he needs to concentrate on Curtis from now on.

Finally, Leela plans to seduce Ziggy to get pregnant, but he turns her down.

Trevor is surprised to find Ashley waiting for him at The Loft. She was the person Carly grassed on and had to hide her identity from. She wants the diamond ring back that Carly took when Ashley got sent down. Ashley demands that Trevor get her what it's worth - £50,000. They're unaware that Carly's real killer Nico has the ring.

Later, Ashley bumps into Theresa and sees pound signs when Theresa tells her that she has already raised £60,000 for the new special needs unit at school. Trevor realises that he's going to have to give Ashley what she wants to protect his life with Curtis.

Meanwhile, Lindsey is wary that Kim has decorated the living room for her birthday and bought them both identical dresses. Kim wants Lindsey to be her twin, like Kath, but Joe and Lindsey are stunned when they see what Kim has done to her hair.

Soon afterwards, Kim emotionally blackmails Lindsey into going to see Kath again. However, Freddie has planned a surprise American-themed party for Lindsey at the pub and Kim hasn't been invited. Kim has decorated Kath's room with banners, balloons and birthday cake. She explodes with rage when she sees a picture of Lindsey at her party on social media.

Later at The Dog, Lindsey tries to explain the misunderstanding to Kim, while a worried Joe watches. Both Joe and Kim are annoyed when Freddie announces that he's taking Lindsey and JJ to America for a holiday and they're leaving tomorrow!

Ashley tells Trevor about her plan to kidnap Patrick. Their conversation is interrupted by a suspicious Holly, who is bringing Curtis back. Robbie is Trevor and Ashley's alibi, but instead he tells Ben about the con.

Later, Trevor gets himself an invite to the reception for the special needs unit, but he wonders how to get Patrick on his own with Maxine always at his side. At the same time, Ashley tells Theresa that it's her job to get rid of Maxine. Theresa gets Maxine away from Patrick and Patrick is alone in one of the classrooms when someone comes in.

Meanwhile, Jason comes over to Holly and Robbie, who are talking by The Loft. He tells Holly straight that he loves her, but she still says that she doesn't want to be with him.

Elsewhere, Louis is concerned about Nico and suggests she get some counselling, which Sienna is keen to avoid.

Trevor and Ashley plan to kill their hostage. When Robbie turns up at The Loft, he follows Trevor's orders and gets the van. Later, Robbie tells Ben that he can't work for him anymore.

Meanwhile, Nico has agreed to speak to Louis. She starts to talk about a dead body and Louis asks whether she is referring to Dylan. Nico says "no" just as Sienna arrives. Nico asks Sienna to let her speak to Louis alone.

Simone offers to educate Lisa about the family business, but she is not impressed and finds an excuse to escape. She then helps Lockie out at the burger boat instead.

Later, Lisa asks Simone if she'll give her and Lockie a loan to get the business started, while Zack asks his dad for £2,000 to go to a professional football training camp. Zack sacrifices his opportunity when he sees how excited Lisa and Simone are about the boat. Not long afterwards, Lisa is shocked when Wayne returns…

Meanwhile, Reenie is shocked when Nana gets a call from 'Derek' asking her to visit him in hospital. She begs her mum not to go and Porsche questions who he is. Nana lies that she has got a migraine so she can't go to bingo with Reenie and Porsche. Instead she goes to visit Derek.

Elsewhere, Nico is annoyed that Sienna is trying to keep Ben away from her and tells her mum that Ben is like a father to her. Sienna returns home to find Nico with blood on her cheek. Nico did it to herself so that she can tell Ben that Sienna did it.

Hollyoaks' new recruit Kierston Wareing has described her character Ashley Davidson as "evil" and "slightly psychotic".

The Channel 4 soap will introduce ruthless villain Ashley next week as she arrives in the village looking for her old associate Trevor Royle.

Ashley was on the hunt for Ben Bradley's daughter Carly before she died and will waste no time in embroiling Trevor in a kidnap scheme involving Patrick Blake.

Speaking about her character, Wareing told Inside Soap: "Ashley is as hard as nails and means business. She manipulates people to get what she wants, and money and power are her biggest turn-ons.

"She is also slightly psychotic. I know I wouldn't want to meet her in real life. There is a lot of history between her and Trevor. He is quite scared of her which just goes to show how nasty and evil Ashley is."

While the dramatic storyline certainly means that Wareing has had to hit the ground running, the actress admits that she has been taking it in her stride.

She said: "Hollyoaks is shot at a similar pace to EastEnders. Having worked in soap before, I know what to expect."

Wareing is best known to soap fans for her role as Kirsty Branning on EastEnders. Kirsty was introduced to fans as a surprise twist in the BBC soap's Christmas episode in 2012 and stuck around on Albert Square for a year after that.

Hollyoaks will air Ashley's first scenes on Tuesday, September 8 on Channel 4.
