Round-up:

As a petrified Bob is brought into court, he knows that Harriet is his only chance. When Carly turns up, Harriet tells her that she must make a statement if she has any conscience at all, but Bob’s troubles are only made worse by the threats of his cellmate Ged. Belle asks Zak and Lisa if she can go away with Kirin, only to be stunned when they tell her that he has already asked them. As they prepare to set off for Birmingham, Belle tells Joanie that she and Kirin are an item. When David tells Alicia that he wants to buy the shop back rather than move to Portugal, she is furious and it looks like the end of the road for the couple. The day of the launch of Belle and Kirin’s line of cordials arrives and Kirin is nervous. Things go from bad to worse when he catches Jai snorting coke in the office. An altercation develops and Vanessa is pushed to the ground. At first she appears to be all right, but it soon becomes apparent that this is not the case. She is rushed to hospital and into the delivery suite. Pete tells James that he is going to see the doctor about his depression and is surprised by his father’s support. James worries that Debbie’s attitude is making Pete’s mental state worse and decides to approach her. Vanessa and Leyla reluctantly agree to Carly moving back in, but she is livid to discover that Ross was cheating on her with Debbie. Dan announces that he plans to become a paramedic. Marlon worries about Laurel and how she is taking the divorce but is surprised by her attitude – and a bit put out.

Brenda is stressed as she sets off for court, while Harriet tells Ashley what she might have to do. As the day begins, Bob is full of shame when the prosecution barrister details his crime for the judge.

Carly arrives as they break for lunch, but when she sees Brenda in tears, she assumes the worst and heads off. Harriet sees her and urges her to make a statement, telling her that she wouldn't have turned up if she didn't have a conscience. Brenda and Harriet are soon surprised when Carly does the right thing and explains her involvement to the judge. Will it be enough to help Bob?

Meanwhile, Belle asks Zak and Lisa if she can go away with Kirin, but is stunned that he already asked their permission. Belle lies to Joanie that she and Kirin are an item as she gets ready to leave for Birmingham. She confides in Joanie that she can't talk to Lisa about sex. Joanie tells Belle that she just has to be confident, but could her advice backfire when Belle leans in for a kiss with Kirin?

Elsewhere, Kerry draws some eyebrows on Dan, but he's in a flap before his presentation after accidentally spilling coffee over his notes. He seems defeated, but later explains that he's got a new idea - he'd like to be a paramedic.

Also today, David sees the guide price for the shop and tells Alicia that he's thinking of buying it back, blurting out that he doesn't want to go back to Portugal.

Bob is shaken when Harriet tells him about Ged's threat. Soon afterwards, Sandy locks himself out and Ashley lets him stay at his place for the day. Sandy falls asleep, but when Harriet and Gabby walk in to discover the gas on and Sandy's life at risk, Harriet is dismayed to remember Ged's threat.

Bob is unnerved that it could have been Ged, while Harriet decides they need to warn people. Brenda panics about the threat of Ged, fearing that they are just sitting targets.

Meanwhile, Joanie apologises for giving Belle advice and tries to find out what previous issues Lisa is skirting around. She is shocked when Lisa tells her that she was assaulted. Joanie and Lisa try to cheer Belle up by telling her about their own embarrassing incidents with boys. Belle is given food for thought in how to behave around Kirin.

Later, Kirin tells Vanessa about Belle and how he is dreading bumping into her. There's a frisson of sexual tension and a sense they both regret being apart. Later, Belle follows Lisa's advice, but will it work?

Elsewhere, Dan tells Kerry that it takes ages to become a paramedic and it requires a degree, but she is supportive. Will Dan be inspired?

Also today, Vanessa and Leyla reluctantly agree to Carly moving back in, but they warn that it's her last chance.

Finally, Carly is livid to learn that Ross was cheating on her with Debbie, Alicia is fuming with David over Portugal, while David recruits Tracy to spy on Eric.

Everyone is shattered after a night spent worrying about Ged. However, Ged is confused when Bob visits him in prison and accuses him of trying to gas Sandy. Bob bargains with Ged to stop harassing them.

Later, Bob tells Brenda that he has sorted everything but he and Harriet share a moment, leaving Bob confused. Harriet realises that she has to speak to Ashley after what Bob tells her.

At the same time, Ashley makes a confession to Laurel and later asks Harriet to accompany him to the doctor tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Alicia is worried as David is still set on buying the shop back. Leyla says there must be a way of showing him that Eric can move on without him. Alicia creates a ruse to help Eric, but it fails when Ashley doesn't arrive as planned. She is left kicking herself when Eric is fuming. Later, when David overhears Alicia mouthing off, he gets angry and leaves him mortified.

Elsewhere, Rishi tries to recruit Megan to help out with the presentation and she feels railroaded. When she turns up, a wired Jai refuses her help and Megan leaves as he throws money in her face. He later tells Rishi that it's his business and doesn't need Megan's help.

Also today, Adam discusses baby names with Vanessa. Will Victoria agree on their choice?

Hour-long episode

Kirin is nervous about the launch but is pleased when Vanessa says that she'll go along. Kirin is impressed with how Belle handles the launch and begins to see her in a new light. When Kirin walks into the office at the factory, he catches Jai snorting coke. Paranoid Jai creates a scene in front of everyone at the launch and Vanessa gets pushed to the floor in the process. Kirin is concerned.

Later, Vanessa has a sudden twinge of pain. Has the earlier fall taken its toll, and where is Adam when she needs him?

At the same time, Adam questions Victoria's attitude over the baby, having noted that she seemed left out when his unborn child was kicking earlier. Adam is pained when he realises the awkward position he has put her in.

Meanwhile, Alicia tries to talk to David, but he snaps at her and questions what has happened to the woman he married. Later, David opens up to Priya while Alicia confides in Lisa. With David keen to move back to the village to look after his dad and Alicia unable to settle there after what she has been through, are the couple destined to live their lives apart?

Elsewhere, Pete tells James that he's going to the doctors about his depression and is surprised by his dad's support. At the same time, Emma confronts Debbie. Later, Debbie arrives at Butler's and tenses to when she sees Pete. Her hostility towards him is still clear. Worried about Pete's vulnerability, James decides to approach Debbie, but will he make the situation worse?

Also today, Ashley tells Sandy that he's going to the doctors but it's clear that Ashley is not confident about it.

Finally, Eric continues to struggle with his grief, while Harriet explains to Bob what happened with Sandy.

At the hospital, Vanessa and Kirin are shocked when the doctor says they're going to let labour progress naturally. Vanessa tries not to panic and wants Kirin with her. The midwife and Kirin try to reassure a scared Vanessa as she is about to be taken to the delivery suite.

At the same time, Adam and Victoria arrive back home and Adam is perturbed to see that he has 28 missed calls. Emotions run high at the hospital and later the doctor explains that the baby is stable but they need to take it hour by hour.

Meanwhile, David takes a box of Alicia's stuff round to Leyla's. David goes over to the B&B and tells Eric that he is staying in the village and has bought the shop back. Eric notices his upset and reluctantly tells him to take a seat. He's angry at David for letting Alicia go when he had no choice when he lost Val. It's clear that Eric is still in a bad way.

Elsewhere, Sarah is annoyed that she can't see Pete, so a guilty Debbie tells Pete that he can say goodbye to the kids for good tomorrow.

Also today, as Marlon bins anniversary cards, he worries about how Laurel will cope with the divorce. However, later he seems a little put out by how well she appears to be taking the separation.
