It`s a brilliant storyline that it`s Cain who thinks that he killed Ross (I`m still not convinced Ross is dead though). When Ross fell and hit his head on the foam concrete, I didn`t think he would die. Although Carl King was hit with a brick and he died. That was the worst decision ever by a producer to kill off Carl King. Yes I`m looking at you Stuart Blackburn. And just like the coward you are - you hightailed it to Corrie, and left it to Kate Oates to explain your decision to kill off Carl King.
    What a weasel he is.

Agreed on Blackburn. Carl should never have been killed considering that Tom, Max and Matt already had been.

Gillian Kearney (Emma) gave this interview to Digital Spy about her role in calling the police during week 17th-21st August when she worries about Ross being missing. A body is then found in the hunt for Ross Barton.

    >
Police will make the grisly discovery after Ross's mother Emma takes action by officially reporting him as a missing person.

James checks in on Emma and she then regrets what she's done but can she get out of this?

Ross was killed by his brother Pete in a shock storyline twist last week, but the rest of his loved ones currently have no idea that anything is wrong.

The situation changes drastically next week as Emma makes a number of discoveries which hint that all is not well with Ross.

Gillian Kearney, who plays Emma, explained: "Emma is beside herself with worry when there's no word from Ross. She's more concerned than James is, because he keeps saying that Ross has done disappearing acts before. Emma instinctively says this feels very different - it's like a mother's intuition.

"Things get worse when Ross's car turns up and his wallet has still got all of his cash and cards inside. James also finds out that Ross hasn't drawn any money out of his bank account since the day he disappeared. Emma starts to think that Ross has met an untimely end."

Emma is convinced Debbie knows more than she's letting on

When Emma starts to ask questions about events leading up to Ross's disappearance, she has her sights firmly set on Debbie and Cain Dingle.

While neither of them give much away, Cain is forced to privately tell Debbie how he left Ross on the edge of a cliff on the day of her wedding.

Both are worried about the implications of Emma's detective work, but that's nothing compared to Pete's panic as he fears that his guilty secret will be uncovered at any moment.

Kearney continued: "Emma tries to cajole Debbie into being honest and can see that she's hiding something. Debbie slips over her own words and reveals that her dad might be involved, so Emma suddenly thinks Cain has murdered him.

"James tries to tell Emma not to call the police until they know more, but she thinks that clues and evidence will disappear every day that goes by. She wants Cain to be brought to justice, so she goes behind James's back and phones the police. Finn supports her in that.

"It's a rollercoaster of emotions for the family, and it just gets worse and worse when the police find a body and say they think it's Ross. The body needs to be identified and it's devastating for Emma."

Emmerdale have slipped up where these are concerned. Later spoilers confirm that Megan loses the baby. I thought they would keep the outcome under wraps until broadcast. Unless Megan is bluffing and planning to leave so as Jai won't know about the baby?

Happy to read that Ross stll has his phone with Donna messages in it <3

Could they now just kill some other youth who could be the body?! It's really frustrating as there's so much speculation around about it-is he isn't he??
If he really is, Emmerdale team could clarify it one more time as I think this is not fair to viewers..quite cruel actually.

Pete really is the worst ever if he lets Debbie go against her dad and Cain to take the blame..! I hope it's only temporary and Ross is alive and truth about Pete comes out sooner rather than later. As long as he's alive, I wouldn't mind if he went away for a bit.

I really wanted Megan to have a baby. But with Jai? No.

    What a weasel he is.
Well according to major storyline thread, he is still alive. He is too good a character to lose for good and the producers know this, they're not fools, even if they're not on social media, most, if not all of their writing and directing team are so they'll know how popular Ross is and what a huge blow it'd be to the show.

Mike Parr gave us a hint anyway saying he was like Jesus at his last supper with cast, Jesus rose again, and Ross has a son called Moses, lol
