    Round-up:

Callum lures Kylie back to his flat, where he proposes that she and the kids move in with him. She refuses and heads home to tell David, but his distrust resurfaces and leaves Kylie considering whether to take Callum up on his offer. Kylie makes it clear to Sarah that Callum is messing her around. Sarah decides to move back to Italy, but Bethany takes matters into her own hands and tries to blackmail Callum into getting back with her mum, while Kylie and David come up with a plot to expose Callum’s true colours. Leanne is hurt when Simon rejects his birthday present. Dan blackmails Leanne into keeping quiet about how they know each other, threatening to reveal her past to Simon. After more birthday disappointments, Simon retreats to his room, leaving Leanne worried about his deteriorating behaviour. Ken excitedly prepares for Deirdre’s return to the street for her 60th birthday, only to receive some devastating news. Liz and Bev break the sad news that Deirdre has passed away to the partygoers at the Rovers. Ken is embittered when Bev admits that Deirdre stayed away so long because she was ashamed of Tracy’s affair with Tony. Roy attempts to help Cathy de-clutter her house. Carla’s gambling begins to spiral out of control. Michael and Eileen grow closer as Gail quietly seethes.

Coming up on Coronation Street, Kylie Platt also finds herself in danger when she hatches a crafty plan to expose Callum Logan's true colours.

Kylie (Paula Lane) decides to take action after Callum urges her to reunite with him so that they can be a proper family with Max and Lily.

Although Kylie has no interest in getting back together with her bad boy ex, she does tip off Sarah about what happened - warning that Callum (Sean Ward) is taking her for a ride.

With Sarah unsure of what to believe, Kylie convinces David that they should set up a honey trap to prove that she is telling the truth.

Step one sees David and Kylie stage a huge row on the street for Callum's benefit, before Kylie approaches her ex and spins a sob story about how unhappy she is with David.

Callum falls for Kylie's act and takes her off to the back room of dodgy pub The Dog & Gun so they can have some time alone. As things start to heat up between them, David desperately searches for Sarah - needing to get her to the pub sooner rather than later.

As Callum makes it clear that he wants Kylie, she tries to hide her growing panic as she wonders where on earth David has got to.

David does eventually manage to find Sarah but as they head off in a cab to The Dog & Gun, Callum starts to realise that he's been duped by Kylie.

When Callum angrily throws Kylie on the sofa and yanks her top up, she becomes terrified that he is going to rape her. Will she be able to defend herself, and what exactly will Sarah and David walk in on?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, July 10 at 8.30pm on ITV.

As David and Kylie make an effort to appear the perfect family unit, Callum watches on feeling both jealous and annoyed. While Kylie gets ready for her drug therapy session, Gemma feigns an emergency and lures Kylie round to Callum's flat. As David frets, wondering where Kylie has got to and worried that she's going to miss her therapy session, Audrey reckons she is back on the drugs.

Callum shows Kylie round his flat, pointing out the fabulous bedroom he has had kitted out especially for Max. Callum puts pressure on Kylie, telling her that she, Max and Lily should move in with him and they could be a proper family. Will Kylie succumb?

Meanwhile, when Simon opens his birthday presents, he's disappointed that the trainers aren't the ones he wanted. Leanne is hurt and promises to change them. Later, when Leanne threatens to tell Liz the truth about Dan, he advises her to keep her mouth shut or in turn he'll tell Simon that she used to work as a prostitute.

Elsewhere, in preparation for Deirdre's return and her 60th birthday, Ken takes delivery of a new oven. When Liz suggests a surprise birthday party in The Rovers, will Ken go for it?

Also, Roy arrives at Cathy's bearing bin bags, hoping to persuade her to start decluttering the house. Will Cathy thank Roy for his help?

Kylie tells Callum what she thinks of his proposition. Does he still have a hold over her?

Back at the Platts', Kylie tells David what Callum has said. David is scathing and his distrust in Kylie resurfaces. Deeply upset, Kylie packs her things and tells David that if he can't learn to trust her there's no point in continuing with their charade. Will she head back into Callum's arms, or will David finally find it in his heart to forgive his wife and give their marriage another go?

Later, pushing thoughts of Kylie to one side, Callum spends the evening spoiling Sarah and tells her there's no-one he'd rather be with. Sarah is thrilled, unaware that she is second best.

Meanwhile, angry at finding herself blackmailed, Leanne has little choice but to agree to Dan's request to keep quiet. At the same time, Simon is disappointed when Ken presents him with a computer game he's already got, until Carla gives him the trainers he actually wanted. Simon then refuses to go for a birthday tea with Leanne. He tells her that she's a useless mum and he hates her, before heading into his room. Leanne is shocked and is frightened of what Simon is turning into.

Elsewhere, can Roy make Cathy accept that her hoarding is out of hand and she has a problem? Carla advises him to leave well alone, but Roy is determined to help his friend.

Also, Carla amuses herself in the café by online gambling.

Finally, excited at the prospect of Deirdre's return, Ken writes her a birthday card.

Deirdre's friends pile into The Rovers for her surprise party. At Number 1, Ken readies himself for the big night as Audrey tends to Tracy's hair. They're interrupted by a knock at the door. Ken's surprised to find that it's Bev but without Deirdre.

Clearly upset, Bev breaks the news that Deirdre died this afternoon. Ken, Tracy and Audrey can only look at her in stunned silence as Bev explains how she passed away. In the pub, a devastated Liz and Bev break the news that Deirdre has died. Back at home, Tracy and Ken break down, unable to contemplate life without Deirdre.

Bev returns with terrible news about Deirdre

Meanwhile, Sarah is worried when Kylie tells her that Callum is taking her for a ride and that he tried it on with her yesterday. Confronting Callum, Sarah demands to know if what Kylie said is true. How will Callum respond?

Elsewhere, Cathy apologises to Roy and asks him if he'll return to the house with her and make a start on clearing out all the rubbish. At Cathy's house, Roy surveys the piles of mess and forms a plan. Cathy tries to share his enthusiasm.

Also today, Michael and Eileen enjoy a drink in the Bistro, clearly fond of each other.

Sarah admits that Callum has dumped her and she intends to move back to Italy. Bethany is horrified and calls at Callum's flat, desperate to sort her mum's love life out so that she doesn't have to return abroad.

Witnessing Gemma arrive with a delivery of drugs, Bethany suggests Callum rekindles his relationship with Sarah and in return she'll keep quiet about his line of business. Will Callum go along with Bethany, or is she in way too deep attempting to blackmail Callum?

Meanwhile, Leanne tells Simon that Deirdre has died. Simon appears unfazed and heads to his room to play his computer game, leaving Leanne worried. At the same time, Amy is inconsolable over Deirdre's death. When Roy and Carla call at Number 1 to pay their respects, Tracy makes her feelings for Carla clear and slams the door in her face. In The Rovers, the regulars raise their glasses in a toast to Deirdre.

Elsewhere, Carla heads off in a taxi to a casino in town.

Also today, Gail is unimpressed to find Eileen and Michael enjoying dinner together in the Bistro. She breaks the news to them of Deirdre's death. As Michael comforts a devastated Eileen, Gail watches and is consumed with jealousy.

Kylie persuades David that her plan to nail Callum and show Sarah his true colours is their only hope. David reluctantly agrees. Spotting Callum across the street, David and Kylie put their plan into action and stage a huge row for his benefit. Finding Callum, Kylie goes all out to convince him how unhappy she is with David and how she wishes she'd taken him up on his offer.

Callum falls for Kylie's act and leads her through to the back room of The Dog & Gun. David searches in vain for Sarah, realising that time is running out. Pulling Kylie towards the sofa, Callum tells her that he wants her. Wondering where on earth David has got to, Kylie tries to conceal her mounting panic.

Meanwhile, Carla gambles the hours away playing online poker at the factory. She orders a confused Sally to cancel her meeting with the accountant. Carla later invites Nick, Erica and Lloyd for a game of poker in the café.

Elsewhere, Ken pushes Bev as to why Deirdre stayed away so long. Bev admits that Deirdre couldn't face coming back to the street as she was too ashamed when she found out about Tracy's affair with Tony, knowing how much her daughter had hurt her friend. Oblivious to the tension, Tracy discusses Deirdre's funeral arrangements while Ken seethes.

Also, Cathy proudly shows Roy how she has shifted some junk so they can actually sit down. Roy is impressed until he spots the junk now stacked up in a different corner. Suggesting how useful it would be if Roy could drive as they could take rubbish to the tip, Cathy puts pressure on Roy to re-book his driving test.

When Sarah arrives back in a cab, David jumps in and orders the driver to take them to the Dog & Gun. As Callum gets heavy, Kylie tries to play for time but suspecting he has been duped, Callum grabs Kylie and demands to know what's going on. Realising he has been stitched up, Callum throws Kylie on the sofa and yanks her top up. Scared he is going to rape her, will a terrified Kylie be able to defend herself?

As David and Sarah arrive, Callum is in a compromising position. Can he spin a tale to explain his actions, or is it all over for Callum and Sarah?

Meanwhile, the poker game takes a more serious turn as Carla ups the stakes then starts losing money hand over fist. Nick begs Carla to quit the poker game as she's losing a fortune but Carla doesn't care, riding high on adrenaline. How will Roy react when he arrives back in the café to find Carla running a poker school?

Elsewhere, reckoning they've done enough junk clearing for one day, Cathy insists on taking Roy for a drink in the Bistro. But Roy becomes uneasy when Yasmeen suggests that he and Cathy are more than just friends.

Also, Liz takes Dan and his daughter to the Bistro for dinner. Leanne smiles at them through gritted teeth.

Finally, Billy calls at Number 1 offering his condolences and explains that he'll be conducting Deirdre's funeral. Later, Tracy unearths a tin in which Deirdre kept her personal effects. In it she discovers a letter from Deirdre describing the kind of funeral she would like. Ken remains quietly bitter towards Tracy.

It's because he learns that the reason Deirdre stayed away for so long is because she was ashamed of Tracy.
