    I've finished your book Parkerman!

I flew through it and found it enjoyable and fascinating.

I'll put my thoughts in spoiler tags so I don't spoil the book for anyone who intends to read it in the future.

    Spoiler:
I particularly liked your family stories, especially your description of visiting your grandparents on the weekend. Your affection for your family comes through very strongly! I loved details like your dad's habit of giving everyone and everything nicknames, and the family habit of quoting Rupert the Bear (by the way, have you noticed the Rupert the Bear books are actually very sinister when read as an adult? ). What a lovely family you had. A really idyllic childhood!

The history was fascinating too as I'm a bit younger than you so some of it was unfamiliar to me.

I didn't know you're so keen on sports! It's very nice to know so much about you.

I was really impressed you took part in a demonstration (although in truth it sounded more like a riot ) against fascist Oswald Mosley! That's really something to be proud of!

Your description of your sadness at leaving the prefab left me a lump in my throat. Will you be writing a follow up because I'd love to know how you settled into Loughton and about your life after you left home for college.

    Link to Parkerman/Norman's book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pie-Mash-Pre...=norman+jacobs

(It's got excellent reviews by the way.)

Thank you so much, Dazzle. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. When people I respect say that it makes it all worth while for me.

As regards your last line in the spoiler, I can't say what you said, of course, but I have been thinking about it. Watch this space is all I can say.....

P.S. your link didn't seem to work, Dazzle. Try this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pie-Mash-Pre...=Norman+Jacobs

That's good to hear. Keep us informed, won't you?

Thanks for giving us the link again. My original link works for me but it doesn't in MaidMarian's quote of my post for some reason.

I'll be putting your book about the British Museum on my wishlist to buy in the future.

Did everyone know our Parkerman's quite the celebrity? Amazon describe him as "...one of Britain's most prolific local history and sports writers with 25 published books to his name" (link). He's also a very successful quiz show regular.

My book has shot up to no.42 in Amazon's Best Sellers Kindle Chart. It is just one place behind Game of Thrones.

I am sitting by my phone waiting for a call from the TV studio to discuss turning Pie 'n' Mash & Prefabs into an epic TV series.....

I'd definitely watch that! In the right hands, Game of Thrones would look bland in comparison.

The big question is who would be cast to play Spot the cat?

Seriously though, I'd love it if this were to happen.
