Definitely not. I think she was a bit sickened at the prospect of her daughter having a rapist for a father, though.

EastEnders' latest love triangle seems to be getting complicated both on screen and off, with Rakhee Thakrar jokingly admitting that she is jealous over Stacey and Kush.

The actress's character Shabnam Masood is currently engaged to Kush, but he has recently shared a secret kiss with Stacey behind her back.

Thakrar and co-star Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush, both appeared on ITV's This Morning today (May 28) to discuss the ongoing plot and how it has affected life on set.

"It's really weird," Thakrar explained. "Dominic, our producer, when he told me about the storyline, he said to me that this was going to happen and he said, 'I think you - Rakhee - are going to get jealous!'

"And I was like 'No, don't be silly, I'm an actor' - and I did! Because the character is there [with you] for a year and a half every day, you have the same heart."

Ghadami added: "When I was shooting the Kush and Stacey stuff, she couldn't look at me in the same way, she wouldn't talk to me in the same way, she was like 'I know what scenes you've been doing!'"

Thakrar laughed: "He came to me afterwards and I'd be like, 'Don't look at me!'"

Speaking more seriously, Thakrar also reflected on Masood's recent discovery about Shabnam abandoning her own daughter and how it will affect their relationship moving forward.

She said: "It's a seven-year secret and finally it feels like a plaster's been ripped off now. Because Masood and Shabnam know each other better than anyone else, he's going to force her to look at that wound.

"There's no hiding now. She's had control over that secret, because it was hers and no-one else could touch it or remind her, and now it's going to blow up."

Tragedy is about to strike the Masoods on EastEnders.

Shabnam Masood and Kush Kazemi will be dealt a devastating blow as their baby is stillborn.

Neonatal death and stillbirth charity Sands have been working with cast and crew to reflect the true effects of still birth, which is suffered by around 100 families each week.

"All of us working on this story have been committed to telling it truthfully," said Shabnam actress Rakhee Thakrar.

"It was a real collaborative process and everyone involved from the crew, production, research, Sands, writers, actors and directors have all been extremely sensitive.

"Knowing the devastating effect stillbirth has on parents and families, it's hard not to be moved. I have been in close contact with Sands throughout this, and spoken to several amazing mothers about their experiences and their beautiful babies who sadly died."

She continued: "The emotional generosity of these women was invaluable in playing Shabnam's story.

"The filming was inevitably emotional, however everyone involved was focused, sensitive and supportive of one another."

Kush actor Davood Ghadami added: "It's hard not to be moved. We hope this can encourage people to talk about it."
