When Laurel overhears Rhona and Marlon talking about her behind her back, she lashes out. Now out of control, she breaks into the village hall and steals some drink from the tombola stand. When she has a blackout, Marlon is left having to face the fact that his wife is a full-blown alcoholic. With Chrissie away, Aaron and Robert are enjoying some quality time together up at Home Farm, but Robert is concerned by Aaron’s seemingly compulsive need to exercise. When Robert tells him that Chrissie is due back next day, their idyll is shattered. Aaron punishes himself with another run, which will have serious consequences for everyone. Brenda is annoyed by the way Bob seems to be bending over backwards to please Carly. James is thrown to find out that Emma has received the divorce papers but has not signed them yet, while Chas’s lack of interest begins to annoy him. David is anxious to be at Alicia’s side when she goes to court, but she wants to handle things on her own. Matters get more complicated as Lawrence tells Chrissie that Lachlan’s father has a right to know what is going on. At the Dingles, Rachel has a run-in with Belle.

Over on Emmerdale, Adam Barton will be left fearful that his secret could be revealed when he witnesses a tense conversation between Vanessa Woodfield and Kirin Kotecha.

Adam (Adam Thomas) makes a big mistake next week by having a one-night stand with Vanessa, on the rebound after his relationship with Victoria Sugden hits the rocks.

When Adam later gets his romance with Victoria back on track, he hopes that his secret will stay well under wraps. Unfortunately, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) is also feeling guilty about the betrayal and plans to come clean to Kirin.

When Adam later witnesses a serious conversation between the pair, he immediately assumes that Vanessa is telling Kirin (Adam Fielding) the truth and panics. Will Adam be able to stop Vanessa in time, or is Victoria about to find out as well?

Ashley is worried about Laurel. Rhona is also determined to get answers, asking Marlon if there is something going on. Soon their conversation is curtailed when Laurel walks in and lashes out at Rhona for gossiping about her.

In desperate need of a drink, Laurel takes drastic action when she breaks into the village hall to steal alcohol from the tombola. On discovering the break-in and seeing the sorry drunken state Laurel is in, both Marlon and Ashley are at a loss over what to do. Marlon truly considers the reality of Laurel being a full-blown alcoholic.

Meanwhile, with Chrissie still away, Aaron is enjoying spending quality time up at Home Farm with Robert. However, Robert is concerned about Aaron's need to exercise. Aaron lies to Chas about where he has been as they go on a run together. Later, Aaron heads back to Home Farm but is annoyed when Robert tells him that Chrissie is back tomorrow. He is upset that Robert can switch his affections so quickly. The Chrissie news sends Aaron back out running, this time loaded with extra weight and soon he is struggling and stumbling as he pushes himself into punishment.

Elsewhere, Brenda remains unimpressed by Bob's attitude towards Carly. But is Carly up to something?

Also today, James is disappointed with Chas when she confides in Paddy, whilst Emma asks Ross what James sees in Chas.

Finally, Pollard tells Pearl that he wants her out of her house by the end of the day, but will Pearl get the last laugh?

Chas is convinced that Robert and Aaron are seeing each other again and joins Aaron on a run to get to the bottom of it, determined to find out what he has been up to. Fed up with her interference, Aaron runs off, saying he is staying at Adam's.

Alone and exhausted in a remote area, Aaron stumbles and falls, smashing his mobile. He lies stuck and in agony, but manages despite the pain to free his trapped ankle. However, matters get more critical when unstable Aaron suddenly tumbles down a steep embankment and lands hard. He is totally unconscious, with nobody around to see what has happened.

Meanwhile, Laurel feels the pressure as she can't remember what happened last night and squirms when Marlon asks if she is an alcoholic. Ashley wants to help Laurel, but is unsure what to do. Diane also reassures Doug as he worries about how much worse it could get. Later, Laurel wants a few days away, but Marlon is struggling to handle things. Has Laurel gone too far for him to cope? Rhona is also unsure about the idea of a trip away, reflecting on her own experiences.

Elsewhere, James is thrown to learn that Emma has received the divorce papers but has not signed them. He is also put out that Chas isn't taking an interest in his divorce and is perturbed to see her later confiding in Paddy.

Also today, Carly wants more money from Bob and plans to leave the village.

Finally, Pearl tries to make amends with Paddy and Rhona, while Lawrence talks to a frustrated Chrissie about Lachlan's father.

Aaron awakes in excruciating pain, desperately calling for help. At the same time, Chas discovers that Aaron didn't stay at Adam's and reluctantly asks Robert if he spent the night with him. With Aaron missing, they both go looking for him.

Whilst searching, a glowering Robert simmers with rage when he realises that Chas has played him and got him to confess that he and Aaron are still seeing each other. They argue and Chas verbally attacks Robert, blaming him for Katie's death. Chas also concerns Robert by warning him that she will tell Chrissie the truth.

Filled with anger and desperate to stop the truth from being exposed. Robert quietly picks up a big stone behind Chas's back and follows her every step, pent up with rage. What will Robert be prepared to do to keep his secrets safe? Suddenly, faint cries are heard from a trapped Aaron. Will Chas's fate take another turn?

Meanwhile, Carly discreetly checks a flight confirmation. Bob suggests that he and Carly go van shopping and covers to Brenda that Carly has got a business loan. Later, Bob's attitude towards his daughter changes when he learns of her deceit. Will she still pack her bags and go?

Elsewhere, David explains that he wants to accompany Alicia to court to hear the verdict, but she just wants it to be over. At the same time, Chrissie is uneasy when Lawrence asks if she has called her ex Donny, as he has a right to know about Lachlan.

Also today, James goes to see Emma, who is keen to hear about James and Chas's communication problems. Will James realise that Emma is struggling with getting divorced?

Finally, Rhona wants Marlon to test Laurel's resolve, while Finn tells James that Darren won't stop texting him.

Chas has unknowingly survived Robert's initial plan to kill her. She fills in Paddy on Aaron and Robert's rekindled affair, and her plan is still to tell Chrissie everything.

With Chas's threat still looming, Robert makes a phone call to a very shady contact, explaining that he needs to get rid of someone - permanently and straight away. Later, Chas reluctantly tells Robert that she will keep the secret but only for Aaron's sake. Robert makes a hasty phone call to retract his instructions, but despairs as he cannot get in touch with his contact...

Meanwhile, Alicia wants to go to court despite David's misgivings. Chrissie lies to Lachlan about his dad Donny not being able to come to court. Will Alicia be strong enough to get through the day as the verdict is delivered?

Elsewhere, Priya continues to matchmake her parents, but the day takes a different turn at the factory open day, despite Rishi having booked a dinner table.

Also, Lisa tells Sam not to tell Rachel they are visiting Charity, while James continues to be confused by Paddy and Chas's relationship.

At the same time, the hitman stakes out Chas, poised and ready to strike. When Chas hears a car alarm going off, she heads outside to see what has caused it, unknowingly into the trap set...

Meanwhile, Alicia tries to put on a brave face but can't keep it up when Leyla comforts her. Alicia tells David and Leyla what Lachlan said to her outside court and David struggles to contain his anger. David worries about Alicia's state of mind. Later, distressed by her fears, Alicia loses it when Jacob receives an overly suggestive and sexy email and makes a rash decision.

Elsewhere, Rachel overhears Sam talking about Lisa going to see Charity, but when she realises they are all lying to her over it, she gets angry.

Also, as the open day continues, will Rishi finally be honest with Georgia about how he feels?

Finally, James, Pete and Emma offer to run in the charity challenge, but Emma is unimpressed with James and Chas's cosiness.

Jacob hears David and Alicia row. Alicia then suggests to David that they should move away for a fresh start. Jacob is angry when Alicia broaches the idea.

Later, David is unimpressed to see Lawrence and Chrissie and reveals exactly what Lachlan said in court. Angry at Lachlan and what his actions have caused, Jacob heads up to Home Farm. What is he capable of?

Meanwhile, Rachel feels ousted at the Dingles' and Sam worries about her attitude. Rachel later makes an accusation at Belle. Will she use this as a reason to move out with Sam?

Elsewhere, Debbie is suspicious at the fun run over the reason why Emma is taking part. She is not happy later to see James having to carry Emma as she is injured. Debbie is suspicious and warns Emma about making a play for James.

Also today, Bob is sick of Brenda and Carly's bickering. Later, things get worse as Carly makes a cruel comment to Brenda.

Finally, Georgia and Rishi come to an agreement, while Andy makes a speech after the fun run and everyone raises a glass in Katie's memory.
