i remember when I was at college next to the studios my brother was parking one day. Don't know what she though he had done but she got very angry and pulled 2 fingers at him. Not very nice.

I've heard stories like that about her before. It sounds like she's arrogant and a diva, and isn't well-liked by people who meet her.

Adding on 8yrs service for 1 days work is
bit of a stretch!
It would improve pensions no end-if people
could do that in real life.

I know shes not thought to be well-liked
as a person. From the photo - shes upset
the make- up artists.
Certainly accentuated her ' expression lines'

Coronation Street has temporarily taken on four new recruits in an attempt to make its writing team more diverse.

The new writers were selected as part of the Original Voices scheme, which aims to find unique talent from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds living in the North West.

Each of the writers will be joining the team in the New Year for a 10-week paid internship, which could lead to a permanent position.

They will join the Story Department and begin working on several Coronation Street plots, while learning about the show from the inside.

After being given four weeks to write a trial script, they will be considered for possible progression to the writing team.

Coronation Street launched Original Voices over the autumn as a joint collaboration with Creative Skillset.

Original Voices was first launched on Emmerdale in 2012 in order to connect with local BAME writing talent.

After her previous interview with Paul
O'Grady when she got the OBE?? same
time as Eileen Derbyshire( for alledegly
same long service-untrue) I gave up
and realised that the tales about her
were prob true. The poor man gave her
many opps to be nice/pleasant and she
wasted them all by over- weening self-
importance and even being patronising
about her own mother- who had made
sacrifices in bringing her up.!!
By the end Paul looked as tho he wished
he was back at Battersea.
Years ago -with Mavis- she was funny but
prob due to scripts and actress playing
Mavis- but that all disappeared!! and as
a person ........!
We have the trial to look forward to next
month.Even the judge has said it promises
to be a "circus"!

Yes she was very patronising and not showing a very good side of herself. Came across as a very boring self important individual. 50 years in corrie has gone to her head.

earlier episode.Sorry- Not being petty- its
just typical of the actress!
The Tv company have given it publicity -
prob at actress's behest- but they have
low opinion of viewers and think it will
pass unnoticed!
