Monday, 9 pm

Peter confesses to Steve that Tina wants him to move away with her, but he loves Carla and wants to stay. At the same time, Tina confesses to Rita that she's having an affair with Peter, which prompts a horrified Rita to slap her.

Later, Carla drags a reluctant Peter to Tracy's engagement party, but Peter is desperate to talk to Tina. As Carla lets slip that she's pregnant, Tina walks in. How will she react to this bombshell?

Meanwhile, Anna is less than enthused when Owen surprises her with a birthday treat of a night in a posh hotel. As Owen pours her a drink, Anna is reminded of her hotel deal with Phelan. Will it all be too much for Anna?

Elsewhere, Eva unwittingly lets slip to a shocked Gail that Leanne has been seeing Kal behind Nick's back.

Also, as Tracy heads off to her engagement party, she assures Tony that she's still up for collecting the stolen goods.


Tuesday, 9 pm

Tina is attacked and left for dead, but who tries to kill her?

Meanwhile, Owen confronts Anna, asking why they never sleep together anymore. Anna refuses to answer him and asks to be taken home. When Owen demands to know what the matter is, will Anna finally confess?

Elsewhere, Gail confronts Leanne and Kal about their affair and insists they tell Nick the truth.

Also today, Tracy collects the van full of stolen goods and drives it to Tony's lock-up.


Wednesday, 9 pm

The residents are rocked by the news of Tina and Peter's affair. More horror awaits with the discovery of Tina's motionless body.

Meanwhile, when Tracy tries to sneak into Number 1 through the back yard, she bumps into Rob doing the same thing. Neither are keen to discuss where they've been. What have they been up to?

Elsewhere, Owen is astounded when Anna finally admits to sleeping with Phelan. Can he forgive his partner for her sordid act?


Thursday, 9 pm

As Rita and David keep a vigil at Tina's bedside, one resident's life is about to fall apart as the finger of suspicion points at them. Who do the police suspect is behind Tina's attack?

Meanwhile, Izzy and Katy realise there is something seriously wrong when Owen tells a clearly upset Anna that he needs to get away. They demand to know what's going on, but will Anna confess to her shameful act?

Elsewhere, Kal is disappointed when Leanne tells him that they must keep their relationship under wraps for now, as Simon is already upset over Tina and Peter.

Also today, Steph has spent the night at Luke's flat, unable to face going home after what happened to Tina.

Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) are to come to blows during next week's episodes.

In scenes to be shown on Monday 26 May, Tina will confess to her long-standing friend that she's having an affair with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne). But a horrified Rita will respond by slapping Tina across the face.

"That's our final scene together," reveals Michelle Keegan. "All those years working together, then she slaps me and I'm off. When I think of all the times Rita has hugged Tina and given her advice. And now Rita wallops her and it's the last time she sees her."

Keegan is set to leave Coronation Street in the coming weeks, with Tina sensationally killed off as part of a high-profile storyline. For the actress, it means having to say goodbye to cast-mates with whom she's grown particularly close, including Street stalwart Knox:

"I am really close with Barbara," continues Keegan. "When I have a scene with Barbara, I know it's going to be really good. From day one, she's always been professional and taught me that I needed to learn my lines and always be on set on time. She's very good like that. Even now, she'll still give me advice about delivering a line if she sees that I'm struggling. She'll say, 'try it like this' and it always works. And we'll have a gossip every now and again in her dressing room. I'll miss Barbara."

Coronation Street kicks off a dramatic week of episodes this evening (May 26) as Tina McIntyre makes a heartbreaking discovery.

Tina (Michelle Keegan) has her hopes for the future crushed as she excitedly prepares to start a new life away from Weatherfield with her secret lover Peter Barlow.

When Peter (Chris Gascoyne) fails to meet her as planned so they can run away together, Tina heads to The Rovers to see what the hold-up is.

To Tina's shock and dismay, she walks into the pub just as Carla and Peter announce that they are expecting a child together. As the news sinks in, what will Tina do next?
