Coming up on Emmerdale, Pete Barton may be about to seek romantic attention elsewhere after Debbie Dingle pushes him away.

Debbie decides that she wants nothing more to do with Pete (Anthony Quinlan) after she gets the results of her police check on him, which reveals that he has a previous charge for assault.

As Debbie doesn't want to take any risks after her ordeal with killer Cameron, she tells Pete that he needs to stay away from her and the kids from now on.

Pete is quick to insist that he wasn't hiding anything and would have told Debbie about the assault if she had asked, but she refuses to listen to his excuses.

Later, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) offers Pete a friendly ear and they end up sharing a drink together. However, as chemistry builds up between the pair, has Debbie just pushed Pete into the arms of someone else?
