    Exclamation Gil (David Easter)

Former Brookside actor David Easter is to make a guest appearance on Emmerdale.

The 53-year-old will play a businessman named Gil, who deals with Declan Macey's growing financial problems.

Declan desperately turns to Gil in a bid to revive his fortunes, believing he may be interested in buying up all of his properties which he recently put up for sale.

The actor - who is best known for playing Family Affairs bay boy Pete Callan - will first appear in the village on November 20.

In the build-up to Gil's arrival, viewers will see Declan's behaviour continue to deteriorate in the face of financial ruin.

I wonder could he be Robbie's father as some other sites are suggesting he will be revealed soon
