Declan desperately turns to Gil in a bid to revive his fortunes, believing he may be interested in buying up all of his properties which he recently put up for sale.
The actor - who is best known for playing Family Affairs bay boy Pete Callan - will first appear in the village on November 20.
In the build-up to Gil's arrival, viewers will see Declan's behaviour continue to deteriorate in the face of financial ruin.
