Jimmy and Carl argue about the business, unhappy to have lost an important contract with Gorwell's when Robbie missed a crucial delivery. They have also been turned down by Nikhil after offering to take on the Sharma driving work. After resolving to do something about it, Jimmy bluffs as he hints to Charity about the business, attempting to get her to reconsider. However, Charity can tell that the Kings are desperate and beings to scheme.
Later, Charity puts her idea to Jai, telling him that she needs a challenge and wants to do something outside the factory. Charity then visits Carl and Jimmy with her business proposal. Carl is unrelenting - there's no way that he's taking on the Sharmas' contract through her. The others are thrown by his fury, but Charity is pleased with his reaction, feeling she is back in the game as she confides in Rishi about what happened.
Meanwhile, Alex attempts to talk to Victoria about their recent troubles and ends up pouring a full pint of beer over himself. Victoria acts disgusted as she swishes out of the pub, but is secretly delighted he's done that for her. Alex goes back to the farm, dripping wet after the drama at the pub. Moira is relieved when he goes upstairs as she is tempted by his flirting, despite herself. Alex and Moira both know they are pushing it as their flirting continues…
Elsewhere, Ali is frustrated when Rachel tells her that the father of her baby is married but she's still going ahead with her plan, while Brenda feels heartbroken and left out when Val, Pollard and Amy discuss Kerry.
Tuesday
Moira prepares for a meeting with Jeff, a potential new client. Alex is increasingly attracted to Moira, saying that she will knock Jeff dead. He then starts to feel jealous as Jeff enjoys Moira's company. Jeff is impressed but is not sure the farm has the required capacity, but Alex stands up for Moira by making an impassioned plea for him to take the business seriously. Moira is touched by his support and appears rattled by her attraction to him.
Once the business chat is over, Jeff seizes the opportunity to ask Moira out for dinner, but he becomes cool when she turns him down - and Moira hopes she hasn't screwed things up for the business deal. Later, Alex is pleased to have Moira to himself, but is humiliated when he tries to kiss her and she laughs it off. As Alex leaves, Moira looks shocked that it happened but clearly enjoyed it…
Meanwhile, Charity tells Rishi how she intends to turn 'Kings Haulage' into 'Sharma Haulage' and is surprised when Rishi says he's in on the plan. Nikhil is frustrated as he can see that Rishi is getting involved with Charity's scheming, unsure of their plans. However, Jai tells Nikhil to leave Charity alone as he's fine with what she's doing. Charity tells Rishi how important winning the Strikes recycling contract would be.
Elsewhere, Amelia is upset as one of the girls at kids' club has made remarks about Ali being a lesbian, Pollard is frustrated by Brenda's attitude as he tries to cheer her up, Gennie advises her mum to stay out of Amy's situation, while Nicola gives Jimmy a pep talk about his business.
Wednesday
Amy is unimpressed when Brenda tries to give her advice on Kerry, as she is determined to put her mum behind her. Soon afterwards, Brenda answers the phone in the B&B to one of Kerry's friends, telling Amy that it sounded serious. Later, Amy is floored when Brenda and Pollard tell her that Kerry is in hospital in a diabetic coma after going out on a drinking session. They're all shocked when Amy declares that she doesn't care if her mum lives or dies.
Brenda tries to put on a brave face, but feels left out when Pollard and Val unite as they go and look for Amy. Chatting to Victoria, Amy feigns disinterest - but it's clear she is torn about Kerry and is obviously conflicted when Val later explains the seriousness of the situation.
Meanwhile, Victoria brings Andy's lunch box round to Butler's, trying to pretend that she's not bothered about what Alex gets up to. However, Andy catches Victoria out when his sandwich box is empty and knows it was just an excuse for her to see Alex. Later, Moira tries to clear the air with Alex, telling him how desperate Victoria is to get him back. She is amused by his cheek and has a twinkle in her eye as she teases him.
Elsewhere, Jimmy has worked all night on the Strikes tender but Carl thinks he's wasting his time, Charity and Rishi have a successful meeting with Bill from Strikes, while David is worried when he gets a call from kids' club saying that Jacob has been in a fight.
Thursday
Amy is confused about what Val wants her to do about Kerry and Brenda realises that she can't win as she tries to help. Amy is torn when David tries to make her see that this could be her last chance to make things up with Kerry. At the same time, Brenda is hurt as Val and Pollard continue to grow closer over the situation with Amy.
Later, Amy finally agrees to visit the hospital, but dreads what she's about to do. She also decides to take flowers with her, but is fuming when she arrives and finds Kerry outside in a crowd of smokers. As an angry Amy strides away, Kerry pleads with her to hear her out as she wants to put things right. Amy tries to feign a hard attitude, but is curious about what her mum has got to say…
Meanwhile, Moira tries to make Alex see that Victoria is still in love with him, and he contemplates what he wants as Moira takes a call from Jeff. Moira is furious when Jeff tells her that she hasn't got the contract and Alex tries to make her feel better. Moira is disconcerted as Alex leaves after she tells him what happened the other night was nothing.
Elsewhere, David takes Jacob to see Alicia but the visit doesn't go well, while both Ali and Dan are proud as Amelia is christened.
Kerry tries to explain herself to Amy. At the same time, Pollard reassures Val that Amy will still want her even if she makes it up with Kerry. He is surprised but grateful when Val apologises about everything and says that she hopes Pollard might have made a mistake by getting with Brenda.
Amy is conflicted as Kerry says that she wants to make things right. However, Amy decides to leave the hospital and comes home not wanting to discuss Kerry. Amy is uncertain and Val is unimpressed when Pollard suggests they could put Kerry up in the B&B as she's homeless. Amy later tells her mum that she can stay for one night, but wonders if she's making a mistake.
Meanwhile, Victoria is gutted when Alex says that he doesn't think they should be together. She is later distraught as she tells Andy that she's been dumped because Alex doesn't want commitment. Andy later takes Alex his things back and gets his key from him, while Moira realises her plan has been thwarted.
Elsewhere, Dan makes a speech at Amelia's christening reception and Ali is surprised that he finally seems to have moved on, Rachel is upset that Jai hasn't been in touch, while David confides in Priya over recent events - explaining that the wedding was fake but Alicia is really in love with him.
Friday
An uneasy Amy begins to spend some time with Kerry. When Kerry wants to go to the pub, Amy agrees. Inside The Woolpack, a torn Amy defends herself to Victoria, explaining that Kerry is her mum and she doesn't know when or if she'll see her again. Kerry is awkward when Amy questions her drinking, swiftly ordering a cola instead. Soon afterwards, Amy is horrified when she sees her mum talking to Cain and rushes out.
Kerry is stunned to learn about the baby as Amy explains what happened. Kerry then suggests that she and Amy could spend her next birthday together, but Amy rejects her once again by storming off. Later, Amy sees that Kerry has packed to leave and is scared that she might not see her again. Amy gives her mum an ultimatum - either she wants to be in her life or she doesn't. Kerry says she does, so Amy warns her to prove it - leading her back inside.
Meanwhile, Laurel struggles to bite her tongue as Paddy and Rhona discuss Marlon not going to New Zealand with them. Paddy and Rhona try to be upbeat with the new locum, but Paddy feels terrible for Marlon now that he's not going with them and is stung by Marlon's coldness as he tries to talk to him. Later, Laurel goes to see Marlon and they kiss passionately. Laurel is supportive as Marlon agrees that he's not giving up on his son.
Elsewhere, Jai continues to put off telling Charity about the baby, while there is clearly an attraction between Priya and David but he refuses to have a drink with her.
