    Even if she did that she'd still get her share of the money. Annulment is best, but not sure he'll go through with it.

Would I loved to see Becky back on the street soon OH Yes 100% but she needs to bring Danny with her and take over the Rovers and rub Stevie's face in it every day to see what he let walk away.
    I quite agree. Steve doesn't deserve Becky.

    Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has predicted that his character Steve McDonald will be a match for scheming Tracy Barlow as they battle against each other in an upcoming storyline.

    Steve was recently left appalled as Tracy's wicked lies over her miscarriage were exposed, but this week's episodes show that his problems are far from over as his new wife refuses to leave their family home of Number 13.

    As first reported earlier this month, Steve ends up resorting to desperate measures by recruiting builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) to put up a wall which converts the house into two self-contained flats.

    However, a furious Tracy (Kate Ford) then vows to become the neighbour from hell - sparking a petty feud between the pair.

    Gregson, speaking of the storyline for the first time, told itv.com: "Steve isn't very good at all at the moment. His true love has flown, quite literally. And he's living with the witch in Number 13, and all is not well.

    "He's completely stuck with Tracy, she won't move out of the house, he doesn't know what to do, but he comes up with [this] marvellous plan."

    Promising that fans will see Steve stand up to Tracy, the actor continued: "Tracy gets home, she sees the wall and goes mental. But he knows exactly where he's coming from now - he's not going to get tripped up again, he's got her in his sights and he's aiming for the kill.

    "She threatens to become the neighbour from hell, but she's pushed Steve so far, that now Steve is the devious monkey . Let's see who wins this battle."

    Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.

    Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has admitted that he wants life to stay tough for his character Steve McDonald.

    Steve was recently left devastated as his ex Becky (Katherine Kelly) left Weatherfield just as he realised she was the love of his life.

    The businessman is now facing further troubles as his new wife Tracy (Kate Ford) is refusing to leave their family home of Number 13 - even though he can't stand the sight of her after seeing her true colours.

    Gregson told the Daily Star: "There's a great line where Steve says that he collects ex-wives like his brother collected stamps. That sums Steve up. The writers love dumping a bucket of s**t on him.

    "Each woman comes along and it's just a different way of making him suffer. But do you know what? I love that about him. I love that the writers will never let him be happy."

    Steve resorts to desperate measures later this week as he recruits builder Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) to convert Number 13 into two self-contained flats - keen to have Tracy out of his life.

    The storyline is believed to spark a petty feud between Steve and Tracy as they play a number of tricks on each other, becoming the neighbours from hell.

    Coronation Street continues on Thursday at 8.30pm on ITV1.

    Why can't Steve apply for annulment of the marriage, why does it have to be Tracy? Anyone know?

    I dont think it does have to be Tracy. These are the grounds

    Void grounds;

    *the parties are within the prohibited degrees of relationship
    *either party is under the age of sixteen or the parties have intermarried
    *at the time of the marriage either party was already lawfully married
    *the parties are not respectively male and female

    Voidable grounds;

    *the marriage hasn't been consummated
    *either party didn't consent to the marriage
    *either party was suffering from mental disorder at the time of the marriage ]*at the time of the marriage the respondent was suffering from venereal disease
    *at the time of the marriage the respondent was pregnant by a third party

    As you can see Steve may have a few good reasons

    So why has Steve asked Tracy to apply for the annulment? I missed the bit where they discussed why it has to be her, not him. Steve is doing this nonsense of wall building inside the house to get her to go for the annulment

    I would assume that its possibly because she may get legal aid being unemployed wheras Steve being a businessman would not
