It makes you wonder? But surely too quick..? Sarah was running around with Samson two weeks ago - this type of condition is drawn out, and we have to get the bone marrow build up in as well?

Is Sarah's condition definately leukaemia then, perhaps Cain & Charity will need to have another child as the donor, rather than Andy & Debbie ? I still don't understand if the illness would allow so long to wait for treatment, what do you think sarah c?

No is isnt leukaemia. Its chromosome breakage syndrome - of which there are 4 main types. I think its going to be Fanconis anaemia, which has the bone marrow not making enough blood cells. That is genetic, is one of the four syndromes, and needs a bone marrow transplant as treatment.

and in the real world, no you definately wouldnt wait nine months (or more) to see if the marrow of a new child is a match, they would use the international register of donors to find a match somewhere

First of all they would test her family to see if there is a match within them, if there is no match they would then go UK and worldwide to try to find a matched unrelated bone marrow donor (MUD) from the worldwide database of volunteer bone marrow donors. There are 3 registries within the UK, the British Bone Marrow Registry (made up from people who already donate blood and have requested to go on the bone marrow register), the Anthony Nolan Trust and the Welsh Bone Marrow Registry.

Cain Dingle receives another setback when his ex Charity Tate finally sets a date for her wedding.

Charity decides on a small and intimate December ceremony, but her relationship with Jai later hits a brief rocky patch when the businessman finally admits that he hasn't told his mother about the engagement.

Things also seem strained when Charity informs Jai that she's going to start spending more time with Cain from now on, believing that it's the best way to support Debbie while Sarah is unwell. However, despite all this, enthusiasm over Charity's upcoming wedding remains.

Cain is seething with jealousy over the couple's plans and when Charity shows her concern for him at the garage, he loses his temper and smashes a car windscreen.

Seeing how hard Cain is taking the fact that she's moving on, will Charity start to have second thoughts over the wedding?
