VANESSA Gold makes a splash as she leaves EastEnders - getting soaked by a cab.
In her final dramatic scenes Vanessa, played by Zoe Lucker, 37, is drenched as she is left stranded after a business transaction with Eddie Moon goes horribly wrong.

David Essex, 64, who took the role of Eddie this year, is also leaving the BBC1 soap and seals Vanessa's fate moments before her exit.

It all starts when Eddie goes to pick up the businesswoman in his car. In an undercover deal between the two, she throws him a bag of money but is shocked when he unpacks her luggage from his boot and dumps it on the street.

As baffled Vanessa frantically screams at him, Eddie hands her the cash back and leaves her stranded before she is unceremoniously drenched. Normally people leave the Square IN a taxi, so this must be a first.

EastEnders' Vanessa Gold will face fresh heartache later this month when her estranged husband Harry puts her in another awkward situation.

Harry - played by Linal Haft - hasn't been on screen since late 2010, but we see him again briefly at the end of August as Vanessa swallows her pride and makes contact with him.

After losing Max's financial support when he dumped her, Vanessa (Zöe Lucker) gets in touch with Harry because she needs his help to raise funds for Jodie's wedding, according to a report in All About Soap.

Harry later sits down for a meal with Vanessa, Jodie and Darren - but it's not long before he shows his true colours once again, declaring that he'll only pay for the wedding if Vanessa doesn't turn up for the ceremony… That is what I thought would happen, not fair

It's clear that Harry still wants to punish Vanessa for leaving him, but will she agree to respect his wishes? Will Jodie and Darren have to scale back their wedding plans? Or could Vanessa become further embroiled in Michael Moon's schemes to make the money she needs?

EastEnders airs Harry's ultimatum on Tuesday, August 30 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
