NAUGHTY newlywed Amira Masood will have an affair with new Walford hunk Danny Mitchell.

The beauty, who wed Syed in a lavish ceremony on New Year’s Day, will fall into the arms of the Square’s latest arrival later in the month.

Shocked fans will see Amira (Preeya Kalidas, 29) in a passionate clinch with Danny in an alleyway behind the Queen Vic.

The pair will share a passionate kiss and it’s clear new boy Danny (Liam Bergin, 24) wants to take things further.

Amira struggles with her infidelity, which leaves her uncertain as to whether she should come clean to Syed (Marc Elliott, 30).

But what she doesn’t know is her husband has also been having an affair, which almost saw him pull out of their wedding.

He has been sleeping with best pal Christian Clarke (John Partridge, 36) and finally admitted to his mum that he is gay.

However, even though he is living a lie, he decided to go through with the wedding.

The soap was celebrating last night after notching up more than 11million viewers for Syed’s mum Zianab’s clash with Christian.

Why do scriptwriters these days insist of newlyweds going off with somebody else? Are soaps not supposed to reflect real life? First the affairs in Corrie, now here. It also seems unlike Amira who so far has been seen to be very much in love with Syed and who has never shown an interest in anybody else. Poor Masood and Zainab, when they find out about this. And Tamwar will be gutted she did not turn to him

Kind of dissapointed in Amira for having an affair but then again we don't know the circumstances and as yet it's only a kiss.
Odd though considering she's head over heels for Syed, the poor girl. They could have a big row or something just before or whatever.

Good on her though for when the truth all comes out, it sounds like they could be setting up something for them for when Syed and Christian's affair is revealed. Give Syed a taste of his own filthy medicine.
I hope she falls in love with him so it eases the hurt of Syed's affair although she'll still be pretty humiliated and cast out by the Muslim community after his affir is revealed. Selfish Syed.
She'll never be able to marry another Muslim man but at least she will have Danny [hopefully].

Marc Elliott said in an interview on the Enders website that she can never marry another Muslim man, I can't remember it word for word but it had something to do with her reputation being tarnished and her family being shamed so the Muslim community would cast her out.

She would not be allowed to marry another Muslim man in a Muslim ceromony again.

Something to do with it being her fault, damaged goods and whatnot.

This storyline is completely out of character for Amira.

I can only imagine that the marriage goes sour almost immediately, with Syed's heart not being in it. Even so, I don't think Amira would fall into the arms of someone else so soon.

I'm with you Perdita, and wish soap producers wouldn't keep making newlyweds be unfaithful.

Yes, that sounds like a reasonable assumption, Siobhan, and the whole thing would then be understandable. I just didn't think she'd find out about Syed and Christian so soon.
