    Location pics from EastEnders funeral

good serving of EastEnders actors were filming on location yesterday for a certain character's funeral.

As you can see from my pictures below, the Mitchells turn out to pay their final respects to Archie - played by Larry Lamb - who's brutally murdered in a Christmas Day whodunnit.

Rumour has it that the mystery is resolved during the live episode on February 19 which marks the BBC soap's 25th anniversary.

The final picture of this set is extremely interesting. It looks like Archie's wife Peggy (Barbara Windsor) is confronting her son Phil (Steve McFadden). Or is it the other way around? It looks like one knows something about the other...

I'm a little disappointed that there's no sign of Archie's ex-wife Glenda Mitchell, though. If you haven't already read, Glenda - to be played by former Dempsey and Makepeace actress Glynis Barber - turns up in Walford in the New Year following Archie's death.

Aside from the obvious, why is Glenda there? You don't think she could be Archie's killer, do you?

    The plot thickens...

EastEnders actor Larry Lamb turned up at his own character's funeral yesterday afternoon.

The 62-year-old recently filmed his final scenes for the BBC soap, in which his character Archie Mitchell is dramatically murdered in a whodunnit on Christmas Day.

Yesterday, however, Lamb unexpectedly walked into the graveyard where Archie's service was being held to pay his final respects to the character he will have played for nearly a year and a half. While there, he also took time to catch up with friend and soon-to-depart co-star Barbara Windsor, who plays his screen wife Peggy Mitchell.

An EastEnders source this afternoon told DS: "Larry took the opportunity to pop along to Archie's funeral to make sure that he was definitely dead and buried."

They added: "Maybe he was trying to work out who it was who killed Archie as there are lots of people who want to see the back of him."

The resolve to the murder plot is expected to play out during the show's live 25th anniversary episode on February 19.

What is interesting is that I think this is the first time we see Cap 6 and Head 6 in the same setting. Is that really true?

I shall be looking for Larry Lamb in any scenes, where they might have forgotten to cut him out
