BOOKSHOPS are threatening to boycott Jordan's looming autobiography - because it's her FOURTH in five years.
The backlash by leading chains is to avoid them being seen as helping the glamour girl "milk" her fans, publishing insiders revealed yesterday.
The latest instalment of her life story - as yet untitled - is poised to lift the lid on the 31-year-old's split from hubby Peter Andre.
But the mum of three, real name Katie Price, could see it banned in the run-up to Christmas - while HIS autobiography hogs the shelves.
A source at publisher Random House, which three years ago signed her to write a succession of children's books, said: "Bookshop managers are really worried.
"They fear this latest book could do more harm than good for business and are seriously considering shunning it altogether. Booksellers do not want to annoy their customers by putting out yet another autobiography from the same person who has already had three printed.
"It seems to them as though she is trying to milk her fans for everything they've got."
The source added: "Reputable companies also do not want to get dragged into a sordid sales war where bitter partners are dishing the dirt on each other."
Andre, 36, is preparing to launch his autobiography in time for the lucrative festive season.
His ex-wife, who is currently dating cage fighter Alex Reid, 34, sold more than a million copies of her first book Being Jordan.
Its launch in May 2004 was followed in 2007 by A Whole New World.
She released Pushed To The Limit only last February.
Book chain Blackwell confirmed branches would not be stocking Jordan's latest effort unless managers specifically requested copies.
A spokesman said: "She has done three already.
"This is not a book we would say to our readers, 'You must buy'."
Waterstone's said the book would make it into their 300 stores only "if we thought it was the right thing to do".
A spokesman said: "We would give it consideration but I have not heard of any plans to do it yet."

4 autobiographies in five years? What is she writing about, seeing we have been able to watch her life with Peter Andre on the tv for the past few years anyway. And we are reading about their split in all the tabloids already

She has four books worth of stuff worth writing at the age of 31? She's been on TV for the past however many years, I doubt there's not much we don't know.
This woman is a complete waste of space. Her antics are a disgrace. She behaves like a spoilt brat rather than a 31yr old mother with responsibilities. She is a self centered, self opinionated egotist who thinks of no one only herself. She craves publicity and without it she is shown for what she really is. A talentless Bimbo whose breast size is twice that of her IQ![]()

Katie Price has reportedly blasted fashion labels who refuse to lend her clothes.
According to Splash News, the glamour girl complains about the attitude of high-profile brands in her new book Standing Out: My Look, My Style, My Life.
Price is quoted as saying: "You'd think with the amount of coverage I get in magazines and papers each week, designers would be more than happy to lend me an outfit, but, no, I can't get any big names to lend to me - and it really p*sses me off.
"I'm probably more successful than most girls in the public eye. I look at people like Kelly Brook and I just can't understand how she gets to wear all these designer clothes."
She added: "I'm not slating her, but really, what the hell does she actually do?"
It is thought that the 31-year-old goes on to name Chanel, Gucci and Prada as some of the labels which have ignored her pleas for handouts in the past.

The audacity of this woman. I used to like her a lot but I have changed my mind since her divorce![]()
Oh, let me see, why would classy designers not want their clothes to be seen worn by a tarty glamour model with an inflated chest?
Perhaps they would rather see them worn by someone whose body shape suits the clothes?
Or maybe someone who is a role model to people who can afford to buy the blasted things?
All press coverage is not the same, some has a negative effect. I would not want to pay good money for something that Jordon had been seen in.
