The original Sam Mitchell will make a timely return to Albert Square. Actress Danniella Westbrook steps back intothe shoes of the outrageous Mitchell sister next week.

And it doesn’t take long for the Walford bad girl to cause chaos as she and arch-rival Bianca kick off in the Queen Vic in record time.

Sam’s surprise homecoming from the land of the samba sends shockwaves through the Square. Soon even her close family want her gone as they fear she will be banged up for her part in the death of Dirty Den.

Our Walford insider said: “Sam’s return is a shock to nearly everyone apart from Ricky, who went out to Brazil to find her and helped bring her home.

“Even her mum Peggy had no idea she was coming back and didn’t even get a phone call.

“But big brother Phil goes nuts when he sees her back.

He thinks she isn’t safe as the police could still be looking for her even though Sam reckons she’s laid low for long enough.”

Our spy added: “Phil becomes convinced she is going to get nicked, even bundling her out of the back of the pub when he hears police sirens.”

Undeterred by her family’s lukewarm reaction to her return or Phil’s fears she could be nicked for helping to bury
Den Watts, Sam insists on going for a drink in the Vic and asks Ricky to join her.

“There are clearly sparks between Ricky and Sam and it’s obvious to everyone they had a cracking time in Brazil.

“And Bianca isn’t pleased to hear Ricky say the day they shared in Brazil was ‘one of the best of his life’.”
