Kim, you will be fine. It's better to do some exams in January, especially with A2, because it reduces the number of exams and stress in the summer exam period. And if you don't do as well as you hoped, you can do it again.

I had my first English exam on Monday on Paradise Lost. I don't think it went too well to be honest - I wrote four pages, though I could have added more to my answer to give a more balanced argument and I don't think I addressed the question fully... I had to say whether I thought Satan was essentially like a human by the end of Book 2. I discussed the presentation of his character and how I thought he only became more human to the reader by Book 2, and in Book 1, the reader would just admire him, but I didn't really discuss Milton's form or structure so I think I went wrong there!

    No they dont
Unless you're one your deathbed and apply for special considerations through the school.

Abbie is right, why would the exam board give you a predicted grade if you can't be bothered to turn up to the exam?

My school used to charge us if we didn't turn up for an exam. Not just that exam paper but for all the exam papers for the subject. Same if you turned up, wrote your name on the paper and didn't answer any questions.
I just wondered because Layne said she probably could've got better marks in the synoptic by not turning up.
Naah they don't take your predicted grade - its just an instant U, i was just over-exaggerating the point of my poop exam on monday.
It was english Abbie, it was awful - saw my teacher today and she agreed the extracts were horrible! But hopefully if everyone thought that the grade boundaries might be lower.
Psychology yesterday was okay - could have been better, but could have been ALOT worse!
English part 2 today - drama and poetry (Hamlet and Byron) was not bad at all - did the other question for Hamlet compared to everyone else but i thought it was a better option for me! And the byron question was good - i just hope the ramble i wrote constitutes a good mark Just drama left next week now .... woo!

Lol I really can't tell when people are joking!

I did Hamlet for coursework this year. I would have hated to sit an exam on that. I wasn't a fan of that play and am now dropping the subject

I'm really praying for that 85% now otherwise I have to do a resit on my 18th birthday if I read the timetable correctly. And if I read it correctly also my Psychology and Economics Unit 3's will be on the same day There is sooo much to know for them
as abigail said, its best to do some exams in january as otherwise think how stressed it would be in the summer. if you dont wanna do too many exams in january and you wanna resit some of this years you can always do them in the summer instead

Thank you We have to answer one question on a performance we've seen, and have to compare it to another century performance and then we have to answer some questions on Trojan women and how we would interpret it as a director, they are pretty tricky questions!
