Mike Tyson's four-year-old daughter is in a critical condition after an accident on a treadmill.

Exodus Tyson was found by her seven-year-old brother with a cord around her neck, which had been hanging from the exercise machine.

The incident occurred at the family home in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday morning.

Police sergeant Andy Hill told Fox news: "Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console - it's kind of a loop.

"Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."

He also insisted that there was nothing suspicious about the events, describing the incident as a "tragic accident".

Exodus's mother took off the cable after her brother raised the alarm. She was then taken to St Joseph's Hospital in central Phoenix, where she has been registered as critical and placed on life support.

According to The AP, Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time but flew back to Arizona as soon as he was informed of events.

Little Exodus was placed on life support in St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona after she was found unconscious after she was choked by the power cable of gym equipment at her mother's home on Monday.

She was pronounced dead the following day.

Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident, but jetted back to be at his daughter's bedside.

Katherine Heigl's representative has lashed out at reports she was dropped from an upcoming A-list movie ensemble due to her extortionate salary demands.

The Grey's Anatomy star, who broke into movies with 2007 comedy hit Knocked Up, was expected to join Hollywood superstars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner and Anne Hathaway in romantic comedy Valentine's Day, due to hit screens in 2011.

But according to online reports, the star was booted out of the casting line-up after demanding payment of £2 million dollars, despite working for a maximum of 14 days.

A source close to the project tells New York gossip column PageSix that "no other actors asked for nearly that amount".

However, Heigl's publicist refutes the rumours - insisting it was the actress who decided not to take part in the film.

The rep tells PageSix, "The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from this project for multiple reasons."

Chris Brown is addressing the public for the first time since his February arrest.

In video footage that surfaced on Bow Wow's Website, Brown says, "All my real fans ... I ain't a monster."

During the 11-minute clip, filmed in a bowling alley, the pop star also addresses members of the media. "All the blog sites are liars," he says. "You guys lie. No black eye. You guys are liars."

In addition, Brown reveals that he has a new album in the works, called Graffiti, with a single due out this summer.

In March, the pop star was charged with two felonies after accusations that he attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown had retreated from the public eye following his arrest in the early hours before the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8. Soon after the incident, a photo of a battered woman reported to be Rihanna was leaked on the Internet.

Last month, Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, said he hoped to have the case dismissed because of the leaked photo. The case's next court date was set for May 28. Neither Brown nor Rihanna are required to attend the hearing.

Jack Tweed has been released from prison after serving half of his 12-week sentence for assault.

The 21-year-old widower of Jade Goody was greeted by his mother and friends outside the Edmunds Hill Prison near Newmarket, Suffolk, shortly after 10am today, reports The Sun.

Tweed was jailed in April after being convicted of assaulting a taxi driver in Epping, Essex, last year.

During sentencing, the judge admitted that his sentence would have been longer if it had not been for the "change in his personal circumstances".

He is expected to visit his late wife's grave later today, after reporting for probation and meeting with his agent.

Shame he did not have to complete the whole sentence received, this early release makes a mockery out of the judicial system imo.
