I haven't watched any of EE since Nick's return but he was my favourite in the early EE days. Can I ask do you think it was a huge mistake in brining back Nick because the feeling I get from reading comments about him and Dotty most of them have been negative.

^Totally agree about them bringing back Nick, what was the point, they only brought him back because June Brown said she wanted some of her family around her, which is a joke because the square is full of her family, Hello the Brannings live a few doors down.

I have only watched the episode with Stacey in them, as I loved her when she first came in, but they destroyed her character when she had the affair, then she went downhill, but I am looking forward to the rest of the Bi-Polar storyline, I want to know how they will portray this.

I don't have a problem with soaps bringing back old characters but the writers have to have decent and believeable storylines to introduce them back into the programme. The mature members of this forum will rememeber the early days of EE when Nick ruled the square and everyone was terrified of him. There was no way a Mitchell or anyone else would stand up to him and that is what the viewers loved to hate about John Altman, he didn't have to say anything a glare was enough to have Iain Beale wet his pants.

Yet now they have stupid storylines were Phil and Billy get the better of him. The writers are having a laugh go back twenty years and Nick could make phil and Billy poo their pants just by being in the same room as him.

My gripe with the writers of soaps are that if they are going to bring back old characters to boost viewing figures then give the actors/actresses decent storylines to work with and not disney fairytales.

That is because the researchers who lurk around the net looking for stories haven't discovered my theory that Phil is the father of baby Pickle. If they were only to ask me to share my knowledge and over-excited imagination I would share my ideas for payment in fredon bars, drumstick lollypops or irm bru

Jay and Dawn were right to be angry at coward Billy and then he painted Nick as a hero friend

    Agreed.

And Nick and Dotty the pantomime villains is getting boring too.

I'm looking forward to more Stacey though, that is a good storyline.
Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.

The Stacey storyline seems to be the only thing that makes me want to watch, I don't know what has happened but it seems as if Eastenders has got Emmerdales old writers/producers to write some of the panto going on recently , I mean how many times can Nick keep trying to murder his Mum, its so unrealistic I stopped watching the show because of his storyline.

Staceys story will make it viewable for the upcoming months.
