Abigail don't give up Uni you have worked so hard this past year. Give yourself some time to clear your head during the summer and if you still can't face going back in September can you transfer to another Uni.

Thanks to Vicky for my great new banner xxx

So that means Ive had to get a friend to take me to work later
And next week I can either get the train or bus to college, and then I might trying cycling to work next week.

My mum said its a good job we have already paid for our holiday cos otherwise we might not be going cos in half term we are gonna have to go buy a new car
Its just our typical bad luck
See if you can get that government £2000 off a new car in exchange for the old one. If your car is made before 1999 you can get it.
I dont think we can thought, if our car is broke

The Government has attempted to kickstart the ailing motor industry by introducing a "cash for bangers" car-scrappage scheme.

Anyone with a car registered before 31 st December 1999 will get a cash incentive of £2,000 to trade in their old vehicle for a brand new one.

A total of £1,000 will come from the Government and the remaining £1,000 from car companies, with participants being able to buy any new vehicle, including small vans up to 3.5 tonnes, rather than just low-pollution models as had previously been suggested.

About £300 million has been put aside by the Government to fund the scheme, which is expected to come into effect as early as mid-May (18 May 09) and will last until March 2010 or when the money runs out, thus enabling 300,000 consumers to benefit.

The car being scrapped must be registered with the DVLA to a UK-domiciled registered keeper making the application. The vehicle must have a current MOT certificate and have been continuously registered to the current keeper for at least 12 months immediately before the application.

Dealers of participating manufacturers will do all the paperwork and arrange for the vehicle to be scrapped.

The new car must be of UK specification, registered after the UK car scrappage scheme has been implemented and it must be first registered to the same registered keeper as the old car.

Does not state anywhere that the car must be faultless

my dads thinking of doing that with his car, although he is not too happy about it as he quite likes it, yet still wants to sell it! its like a hobby he is always after new cars.

i have my exam this afternoon! Oh Dear! as long as i remember the history or Domestic Violence, how the law copes with abuse of children and how they take children away from there parents, be sure not to get suicidal i shoujld be ok, but if its anything like the last exam then i am not holding out much hope. I really should have more motivation at this stage!

Abigail, im sure things will get better for you, there is a long time between now and going back to uni and there is always the option of transfering, its not that difficult to do i know many who have done it. Hope things get ok soon

Yes its cars for scrap, the government aren't trying to make money they just want to sell cars to help the industry.

i went back to uni the friday before last as term started last monday. the saturday before this saturday was our cheerleading alumini where the current american footballers play against the old american footballers and we get to sit in the sun! then we have a meal in the evening. the day was really good, it was hot and i had a good time. the evening was really boring though! it was in a marquee on a field at uni and it was so cold! and there was hardly any space to dance in it so i went home early. the food was really nice though, apart from the dessert which had bananas in it!

handed my last essay for this year in last monday, which is so good to have no more work left to do! im dreading the marks back for this module though, im just hoping i pass but its annoying cos ive done really well in all my other modules this year and ths one is gonna bring my mark right down!

tidied my room tuesday and wednesday as it was a right state before! came back home thursday cos i had some stuff to sort out. saturday i went up to london and walked a lot, we walked all the way around the whole of london! it was fun though

going back to uni tomorrow. my sis is coming back with me cos she has a job interview down there on wednesday so shes staying at mine so she doesnt have to rush down there
