A PAEDOPHILE story has earned EastEnders FIVE British Soap Award nominations including Best Single Episode and Best Storyline.
It saw Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) discover fiance Tony King (Chris Coghill) was molesting her stepdaughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

Patsy is up for Best Dramatic Performance, Chris got a Best Villain nod and Shona is up for Best Newcomer. Rival Coronation Street was also nominated five times.

i love the soap awards, i remember having a party once when i was younger and we had to dress up as our favourite character, I was Sarah platt, and she won the award for the baby storyline, thats how long ago it was.

my predictions (although only from ee and hollyoaks cos theyre the only 2 i watch)

sexiest male: rob kazinsky (sean slater, ee)
sexiest female: roxanne mckee (louise summers, hollyoaks) - cos she always wins it
villian of the year: larry lamb (archie mitchell, ee) or barry sloane (niall rafferty, hollyoaks)
best actor: jake wood (max branning, ee)
best actress: jo joyner (tanya branning, ee)
best comedy performance: i dont think either zainab or michaela will win it so it will be one of the others but seeing as i dont watch corrie or emmerdale i dunno out of the 2
best dramatic performance: patsy palmer (bianca jackson, ee)
best dramatic performance for a young actor or actress: maisie smith (tiffany dean, ee) - although i dont think she really did anything dramatic i think shes great and toms already won it
best exit: matt littler (max cunningham, hollyoaks)
best newcomer: shona mcgarty (whitney dean, ee)
best onscreen partnership: nitin ganatra and nina wadia (masood ahmed and zainab masood, ee)
best storyline: bianca discovers tonys a paedophile (ee) or nialls revenge (hollyoaks) - as i dont think the bianca/tony/whitney storyline or the niall/mcqueens storyline will win in more than 1 category
    spectacular scene: church explosion (hollyoaks)
best single episode: bianca discovers the truth about tony (ee) or max and stephs wedding (hollyoaks)
    lifetime achievement award: clive hornby
    special award: dunno
    best soap: eastenders

How on earth Hollyoaks got no awards is beyond me, I was expecting them to get at least a few. I thought that either the one who plays Tom in Hollyoaks or the one that plays Victoria in Emmerdale would have won best Young Actor, what exactly has Tiff done except look cute and sweet on TV. I thought they would have got best storyline for Nialls revenge and single episode for Maxs death. How on earth Jasmine never won Dramatic performance is beyond me. The panel needs to have a look at the shows again, because Hollyoaks was brilliant last year
