It would be if Max and OB were there, but it doesn't really have the same effectiveness if they aren't. I would've loved to see their faces. Who's she going come back to terrorise? Her character will get boring after a while, and the storylines tedious and samey whereas last time it was a great storyline and she left with a bang.

I agree about Max and OB, but Warren and Justin are still there so it could be good. To be honest i've been growing bored of Hollyoaks for a while now so this is something to look forward to i think.

That's what I thought. They could end up ruining her character by bringing her back ... They should've just left it with her POSSIBLY coming back at some stage. She's been gone less than a year though (I think..)

Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix is to make a surprise return to the show as superbitch Clare Devine.

The 25-year-old left the show in September 2007 when her character drove off a cliff in dramatic stunt which subsequently won 'Spectacular Scene Of The Year' at last year's British Soap Awards.

At the same ceremony, Bissix also walked away with the award for 'Best Exit'.

Clare's return to Hollyoaks village is to tie in with the departures of old flame Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and the man who pushed her off The Loft balcony, Justin Burton (Chris Fountain).

As part of their exit, Clare is hell-bent on revenge and Warren and Justin quickly become embroiled in a blazing fire at The Loft.

Bissix returns to filming at Hollyoaks' Liverpool home Lime Pictures next week and will reappear on screens at the end of May.

Only days after bowing out of the Channel 4 soap on screen in September 2007, it was announced that she was to reprise her role as Clare Bates in EastEnders. Her stay was short-lived, however, and she announced her decision to move on in May the following year.

More recently, she appeared in ITV skating show Dancing on Ice, where she was the first female contestant to be voted off.

Gemma Bissix will make an explosive return to the Chester show.

The blonde bombshell's character Clare Devine will make a shock comeback as she plots her revenge on enemies Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas, 27) and Justin Burton (Chris Fountain, 21).

And with the two fellas leaving Chester, rumours are rife that Clare will kill off the pair in a fierce blaze that rips through the Loft nightclub.

Gemma, 25, was knocked out of Dancing On Ice in the first week.

She is reported to have been given a six-month contract.

Gemma left the soap in 2007 for her role as Clare Bates in EastEnders.
