Michelle McManus has revealed that she is a huge fan of Geraldine McQueen.
The former Pop Idol winner insisted that she was not offended when she realised that Peter Kay's fictional talent show champ was based on her.
McQueen, the 'winner' of Kay's spoof show Britain's Got The Pop Factor, even has the same hairstyle and pose on her 'The Winner's Song' single cover as Michelle had on the front of her debut album The Meaning Of Love.
Speaking to the Daily Record, McManus admitted: "Peter looks identical to me. He's a big guy. I'm a big girl. Put a wig on him and he really did look like me on Pop Idol. Just look at the album cover.
"And on Britain's Got The Pop Factor, he dressed very similar to the way I dressed on Pop Idol. But I absolutely adored that show. I didn't get upset at it at all. I loved it."
She added: "He wasn't being nasty. I thought it was very funny."
McManus won the second series of Pop Idol in 2003. She recently launched her own record label and has also been concentrating on theatre work.
