What the hell is the woman on??? Phoning 999 about using the hard shoulder - at least with it hitting the papers, she's bound to come in for some stick and deservedly sooooo!

Thanking the fabulous TAbbie, for the banner!

She should get done for it. 999 is for emergency calls not some D-lister who is late for work and thinks she can do what she wants.
Cant beleive someone would be so thick.
I figured out why I'm so fat!!! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says "for extra volume and body" on the bottle. I'm going to start using dishwasher liquid, cos it says "removes fat that is otherwise difficult to remove" on the bottle!

    Dialling 999

    Found this on MSN News:

A woman called 999 to complain she was unable to get through to Strictly Come Dancing to vote for Tom Chambers in the final, police have said.

It was just one of the frustrating calls made to police, who released the details to ask the public not to call emergency numbers for frivolous - or ridiculous - reasons.

Other 999 calls made to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) recently included one from a priest because he was in WH Smiths at Manchester Airport and the staff wouldn't let him use their toilet, a man who complained staff at a pizza shop had put mushrooms on his pizza and he had not wanted mushrooms and a caller who dialled 999 to ask what his mobile number was.

    ^^^

It's these type of people who prevent the emergency services from saving people in genuine trouble

I know I shouldn't laugh. But some of them are funny .
It's very annoying though. Some people are so stupid!

i know - espec the one asking what their number was

but i agree, they are stupid, and risking the safety of others who actually need the 999 services.

Of all people, the priest should have known better than to call an emergency number for something so ridiculous.

What exactly did the woman expect the police to do?

When will people learn that 999 is there for EMERGENCIES, not because you can't get through to a number
