I think that because they are Irish and probably have a strong catholic faith that they would prefer Michelle and Steve to be married rather than just living together. Can't blame them for that.

So the burglar alarm in Gail's place is not connected or only works on the front door rather than all points of entry. They are all behaving surprisingly calm though seeing that the whole of the kitchen has disappeared. I think I might have gone upstairs to check whether anything else is missing.
