A stunned Maria (Samia Smith) listens as Rosie (Helen Flanagan) reveals that she had shown the Carla and Liam footage to Tony. Her thoughts racing she starts to analyse everything she has been told and works out that Tony knew about the kiss before he asked Liam to be best man.
At the Rovers Liz (Beverley Callard) suggests to Michelle (Kym Ryder) that she orchestrate a night of romance with Steve (Simon Gregson). Michelle tells a non-plussed Steve that she is cooking dinner. Becky (Katherine Kelly) is not worried about this development until Liz lets slip that she walked in on the two of them kissing in the back room.
Molly (Vicky Binns) grows increasingly suspicious of Tyrone's (Alan Halsall) behaviour when he sees him spending more time with Minnie (Poppy Jhakra). Unaware that his real reason for talking to Minnie is to sell her cheap perfume she starts to wonder if something is going on. He convinces her that he doesn't fancy Minnie but how long can he keep the details of his and Pam's dodgy dealings a secret?
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) thinks he and Leanne (Jane Danson) are getting closer when he invites her round for a pizza and she asks if she can read Simon (Alex Bain) a story. But when Peter moves in for a kiss Leanne is decidedly cool with him.
Monday 8 December
Maria (Samia Smith) has not slept a wink all night, she has tried ringing Tony (Gray O'Brien) but his mobile is switched off. Dismayed, frustrated and tormented she tells Tom (Philip McGinley) that she needs him to help her get to the truth surrounding Liam's death. Kevin (Michael LeVell) feels for her when she confides in him that nothing about her husband's untimely death makes sense.
Darryl (Jonathan Dixon) is getting ready to leave number six as the new tenants are due to arrive today. Teresa (Karen Henthorn) however has other ideas and is not going to give up her home without a fight. As Darryl comes out of the house she locks herself in and as the neighbours gather round amused Darryl desperately tries to persuade his mum to come out of the house. The stand-off continues until the new tenants arrive - but the Platt's amusement at Darryl's predicament soon turns to horror when they discover that their new next door neighbours are non other than the Windasses.
Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) is also in for a surprise when she discovers that the community service volunteer she has been assigned to help out at the hospital is in fact Janice Battersby (Vicky Entwistle). Janice's initial delight in seeing her neighbour will be supervising her soon fades when she realises Emily is no soft touch.
Molly (Vicky Binns) is dismayed when she sees Minnie (Poppy Jhakra) and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) chatting together again and when she smells Minnie’s perfume and recognizes it as the one Tyrone smelt of the other day she is devastated. She quizzes him about his trips to the gym and tries to catch him out by telling him she will join too.
Monday 8 December
There is a Mexican stand off on the street as the Platts and Windasses scream abuse at each other. Gail (Helen Worth) is stunned when she finally realises who the new family are and Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) says she'd rather sleep rough than live next door to the Platts. Having eventually gained access to the house the Windasses finally takes possession of number six. Gail is surprised when Anna turns up at the house and insists that she wants to try and make peace between the two families. David (Jack P Shepherd) and Tina (Michelle Keegan) are stunned when they return home to find Anna and Gail mid hug and David is furious that his mother is consorting with the enemy. He's even more annoyed when she reveals that they are meeting up for a drink tonight - will the two mothers of the warring families be able to secure a truce?
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is determined to put Molly (Vicky Binns) off the scent and enrolls the pair of them in a swanky gym. Molly watches him as he goes through his paces and it is obvious to her that he has never set foot in a gym before. When she discovers how much the membership is costing she can't believe it and is more suspicious than ever.
Maria (Samia Smith) questions Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) about the night of Liam's death but he can't tell her anything she doesn't already know, Tyrone however feels compelled to tell her that Jason reckoned the driver of the car never even swerved or put his brakes on. This is all Maria needed to hear and she seizes on it as proof that Liam's death was no accident.
Elsewhere Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) is pleased with Janice's (Vicky Entwistle) progress on the community service programme.
Wednesday 10 December
Molly’s (Vicky Binns) suspicions of Tyrone (Alan Halsall) continue to grow, especially when she discovers that he has only just joined the gym. She can’t get rid of the niggling feeling that something is going on and when she sees Minnie (Poppy Jhakra) in a T-shirt that she saw Tyrone with earlier she jumps to the conclusion that the pair are definitely having an affair. She tells an oblivious Minnie to pass on a message to Tyrone that she has gone to her dad’s and he needn’t follow. But the message gets lost in translation and Tyrone is none the wiser.
Gail (Helen Worth) defends the plan for the Windasses and the Platts to make friends but Joe (Reece Dinsdale) agrees with David (Jack P Shepherd) and doesn’t want to give them the time of day. The two women continue to try and extend an olive branch as Anna (Debbie Rush) tries unsuccessfully to get Eddie (Steve Huison) in full time employment.
Audrey (Sue Nicholls) and Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) are determined to take Maria’s (Samia Smith) mind off recent events but as soon as she arrives at work she starts with one of her theories. Even the customers are not immune as she quizzes them about whether they think Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) is capable of murder.
Elsewhere it is becoming increasingly clear that Norris (Malcolm Hebden) doesn’t like having Jed (Kenneth Cope) around but Jed has no intention of leaving just yet – especially as he has got Tony Gordon in his sights.
Friday 12 December
Molly (Vicky Binns) arrives home from her dad’s but Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is oblivious to how upset she is until she tells him she knows all about his so called workouts and his fancy piece at the kebab shop. Tyrone tries in vain to convince her he is not having an affair and tells Pam (Kate Anthony) that he will have to come clean about the selling. Molly is sceptical as the pair of them explain about Tyrone stepping in to help Pam out but they stop short of telling her about him using the money for their dream wedding.
Steve (Simon Gregson) is feeling the strain of playing bad boyfriend as frustrated Michelle (Kym Ryder) struggles yet again to have a civilized conversation with him. She confides in a guilty Becky (Katherine Kelly) who tells her she could do a lot better than Steve but Michelle makes her feel even more uncomfortable by telling her she just wants the old Steve back as she misses him.
Audrey (Sue Nicholls) is growing increasingly concerned about Maria’s (Samia Smith) frame of mind and when the distraught widow arrives at the factory and demands the key for Tony’s desk Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) has to take her home and get her to calm down. Audrey decides the time has come to get her some medical help.
Elsewhere Eddie Windass (Steve Huison) gets a job at Streetcars and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) eagerly anticipates the arrival of her dad Colin.
Friday 12 December
As Audrey (Sue Nicholls) heads to the medical centre Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is left with Maria (Samia Smith) who is growing increasingly edgy and determined to head back to the factory to get into Tony’s drawer. Fiz pretends she is going to try to get what Maria wants but goes straight to the medical centre to hurry Audrey up. By the time the women arrive back at the house with a doctor Maria has disappeared to the Rovers where she is demanding the keys to Tony and Carla’s flat. Fiz and Audrey manage to persuade her to come home but she refuses to admit there is anything wrong with her and sends them all packing. Meanwhile Tony (Gray O'Brien) and Carla (Alison King) have arrived back from honeymoon oblivious to Maria’s accusations – until they play the answer machine.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is devastated as Molly (Vicky Binns) walks out on him and their wedding plans. He tells Pam (Kate Anthony) what has happened and lays the blame fairly and squarely at her door. Pam is distraught at the development and tries to make amends but it looks like it is too late for Tyrone and Molly.
Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver) dad Colin (Edward De Souza) has still not arrived and when she calls him and he comes up with a ridiculous excuse as to why he is late she knows exactly where to find him. She decides to show him up by taking his dinner to the Rovers where she finds him charming the socks off Rita (Barbara Knox).
Steve (Simon Gregson) is lusting after Becky (Katherine Kelly) and is desperate to spend some time with her but there is nothing they can do about it – then a chance remark from Michelle (Kym Ryder) about the stench of Ryan’s (Ben Thompson) football kit gives Steve another idea for his bad boyfriend plan.
