Diana Vickers will definitely perform on tonight's episode of The X Factor, creative director Brian Friedman has claimed.

The 17-year-old was forced to miss last week's show after developing laryngitis. However, Friedman said she will take to the stage tonight "no matter what".

"I was with Diana in rehearsals [on Thursday]. Her throat still hurts, she couldn't talk at full volume, she was having trouble swallowing," he told The Sun.

"She wants to perform. Diana is going to go on stage no matter what this week."

It was recently reported that X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has caught the throat infection from Vickers.

I still love Diana I feel so sorry for her cos of all the pressure but Im glad she sang even though her throat is still bad but she tried and I still love her.
