I was filling up all over again when they showed that clip with Rose and the two doctors on the beach. When he made the speech I wasn't too surprised as there had been a lot of spectulation but I will miss David as the doctor. It only feels like yesterday that we were all on here discussing how he could possibly replace Chris Eccleston and yet we are all devasted at the news. How about bringing back Dr Donna.

Thanks to Vicky for my great new banner xxx

Its gonna be so sad, I mean its good that his last series finale in a way was series 4 with that amazing last episode, I just hope the specials are really good so its a good way for him to leave.
Its just a shame cos series 5 is gonna be like a complete new team im worried it wont be the same

Yeah it would. I had a feeling in Journey's End that that would be the last 10th Doctor/Rose that we would see but I didn't think it would be the last episode within a series that David Tennant did. Yeah I assume they will be an hour each but obviously the longer the better. And what I want to know is is the Christmas one counted as one of the four specials, because it wouldn't be 2009 then. In the article I read earlier it sounded like one of the specials was going to be aired at the start of 2010 too.
Yeah I want to know when these 4 specials are. So theres gonna be 4 in 2009.
So does that mean on top of these 4, we have 1 xmas one, later this year 2008 and what about the one for children in need, are they not doing one?

That is a thought. I was talking on MSN last night to someone from another forum who told me about David Tennant quitting. No one ever thought Rose or Donna would be back and we were surprised by them, so he could appear as the Human Doctor one day. The only way a Doctor's been able to come back before was in that Time Crash special thing.

I didn't watch when the Doctor regenerated the last time, but I think it'll be harder for us to adjust to someone else taking over as Chris only did one series and David will have done three plus the specials.

I don't know if I'll be watching after David Tennant goes. I'm not keen on Moffat for putting the Doctor with random women anyway and then he slagged off Rose like that and said Billie Piper couldn't come back again.

Layne I'm surprised you haven't posted in that thread about Donna coming back yet. I don't think you have anyway.

I will really miss David Tennant not being the Doctor, but I do think it's the right time for him to move on and I can't wait to hear who will fill his shoes.

As long as they don't wreck his exit by bringing him back a year or so later, like they've done with other characters.

It won't surprise me since Moffat hates Rose so much if he kills her off off screen and then has the Human Doctor come back to tell the time lord one. He clearly likes David Tennant as the Doctor after he was offered 1.5 million to do Series 5.

Me too. I was not impressed when I saw that article of Steven Moffat slagging the character off.
